The Miracle Worker!
Jesus – The Miracle Worker!
Our God is the miracle working God! This should be obvious, but interestingly it isn’t so to many looking at how they act and say. A miracle is the divine intervention in the affairs of humanity to change a negative natural course of events which was inevitable to a desirable one through help, blessing or favor. Where there was no natural remedy and the course of events was inevitably ending in destruction, loss or failure, a miracle reverses it to victory. Jesus did miracles and the bible says this was good: “..how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him” Acts 10:38. As children of God, we should expect miracles in our lives and in the lives of those we pray for.
Look at this picture, which continually plays out in many people’s lives; Walking down the street, Jesus saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked, “Rabbi, who sinned: this man or his parents, causing him to be born blind?” Jesus said, “You’re asking the wrong question. You’re looking for someone to blame. There is no such cause-effect here. Look instead for what God can do.’ John 9:1-2 (The Message Bible). Many people always think that their suffering, sickness and difficulty in life is a result of what they or someone else did, in this case being sin. They are looking for someone to blame and wondering what the cause is which brought this effect. This is not always the case and no matter the cause, when in need of a miracle, it doesn’t matter how the sickness or problem came about, what matters is releasing your faith in God. Jesus said that these are wrong questions to ask; ‘How did this come? Who sinned? What is the cause?’ This only works in the secular world of analysis and diagnosis. Instead look for what God can do. Hallelujah! There is no issue, problem, sickness or challenge that God can not deal with regardless of the source.
The bible says; “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21. God is able to exceed all our wildest dreams and the grandest requests, because He is God. He is the maker of heaven and earth, the almighty Father, the King of Glory, with whom nothing is difficult. We miss out, because we limit him in our minds; the children of Israel limited Him (Psalms 78:41). We disqualify ourselves, just because the doctor said it is incurable, the broker said you cannot make a profit, and the public opinion polls and friends’ advices, are all negative. Friend, listen to the words of Jesus in your spirit; “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26. Trust God and know that nothing; absolutely nothing is impossible once you invite Him with faith in the affairs of your life. He said; “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?” Jeremiah 32:27. Release your faith and remember that miracles are activated by acting on God’s word. When you follow instructions from God and from His word, definitely the situation turns around miraculously.
This man born blind had his sight miraculously restored because he followed Jesus’ instructions even when it didn’t make sense to the onlookers. “When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing” John 9:6-7. Are you in need of a miracle? Find God’s instruction and do it even when it seems unreasonable. What Jesus did to this man, is not medically and morally acceptable in our ‘modern, developed’ world, so we may think. However, as unreasonable as it seemed, this was the instruction that brought the miracle needed. This will require faith just like a blind man going all by himself to wash in a pool of water, but when you do it, you will enjoy the miracle. Release you faith, act on God’s word (instruction) and enjoy the miracle.
