Ministering To THE LORD Makes Him Speak To You, Move For You
Some of the most life-changing Things THE LORD says and reveals to me, are during moments when I minister to Him.
They are often by His Voice to me internally, as well as by Visions and Revelations, The Word of Wisdom, The Word of Knowledge, among other Means by Which He speaks.
But we must never minister to THE LORD because of what we might receive from Him. When we minister to THE LORD, it must be out of love and adoration for Him.
THE LORD does speak when we minister to Him from the heart — in spirit and in Truth (considering Who He is, His Ability and Goodness). And we must be diligent to hear Him when He speaks, and obey as commanded.
Barnabas and Saul (Paul) were launched into their ministry and destiny when they and other prophets and teachers were ministering to THE LORD, and suddenly, THE HOLY SPIRIT spoke.
“Now in The Church that was at Antioch there were certain prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to THE LORD and fasted, THE HOLY SPIRIT said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for The Work to Which I have called them.” Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away.” Acts 13:1-3.
Likewise, THE LORD spoke through Elisha when a musician he had called for, played music, ministering to THE LORD:
“But now bring me a musician.” Then it happened, when the musician played, that The Hand of THE LORD came upon him [Elisha]. And he said, “Thus says THE LORD: ‘Make this valley full of ditches.’ ” 2 Kings 3:15-16.
Take pleasure in ministering to THE LORD out of love and adoration for Him.
When doing so, also be diligent to hear and obey what He says to you.
“Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what The Will of THE LORD is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with THE SPIRIT, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to THE LORD, giving thanks always for all things to GOD THE FATHER in THE NAME of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, submitting to one another in The Fear of GOD.” Ephesians 5:17-21.
“Let The Word of CHRIST dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with Grace in your hearts to THE LORD. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS, giving thanks to GOD THE FATHER through Him.” Colossians 3:16-17.
Ministering to THE LORD makes Him move for you.
In 2 Chronicles 20, an army of a great multitude by three nations (Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir) came to battle against Jehoshaphat, king of Judah.
Jehoshaphat feared, but sought THE LORD, and proclaimed a fast for himself and his people to seek THE LORD.
THE LORD assured them of certain victory over their mightier enemies that had come against them.
Strengthened by THE LORD OF HOSTS’ Assurance, King Jehoshaphat and his people headed into battle, with praise and worship as the vanguard of the army!
By praise and worship, their enemies were destroyed by THE LORD before they even arrived on the battle field.
“Now when they began to sing and to praise, THE LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. For the people of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir to utterly kill and destroy them. And when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another. So when Judah came to a place overlooking the wilderness, they looked toward the multitude; and there were their dead bodies, fallen on the earth. No one had escaped. When Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away their spoil, they found among them an abundance of valuables on the dead bodies, and precious jewelry, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away; and they were three days gathering the spoil because there was so much. And on the fourth day they assembled in The Valley of Berachah, for there they blessed THE LORD; therefore the name of that place was called The Valley of Berachah until this day. Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, with Jehoshaphat in front of them, to go back to Jerusalem with joy, for THE LORD had made them rejoice over their enemies. So they came to Jerusalem, with stringed instruments and harps and trumpets, to The House of THE LORD. And The Fear of GOD was on all the kingdoms of those countries when they heard that THE LORD had fought against the enemies of Israel. Then the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet, for his GOD gave him rest all around.” 2 Chronicles 20:22-30.
Praise, worship from the heart instantly moves GOD to move for us.
“The LORD Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.” 2 Timothy 4:22.
“Farewell” Acts 15:29.
~ Jacob Addison Awagah
Jacob, an apostle of JESUS CHRIST by The Will of GOD, according to The Promise of Life Which is in CHRIST JESUS, (2 Timothy 1:1).
Like John, I like to put my head to The Heart of JESUS so as to know and do His Will always. What’s in His Heart is what matters now and FOREVER. His Heart’s Desire is my only desire. My will is to do His Will.
As John was, I am the disciple whom JESUS loves. And like Paul, I am “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:1) for His Purpose forever: to obey Him always.
NB. Surely, the disciple whom JESUS loves and “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS”, like ALL The Promises of GOD, are available to every believer to obtain, just as John and Paul did.
“And having been perfected, He [JESUS] became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.
