Ministering Deliverance
Why I Cannot Minister Deliverance to Someone Without Taking Them in Under My Care!
Someone recently called me, who told me that he follows my posts here on His Kingdom Prophecy website, asking me to pray for him for deliverance.
I did one better than that. I referred him to a pastor near him who could not only pray for his deliverance, but who could also disciple him!
A number of years ago I used to have very powerful deliverance sessions in my meetings. Today I will not venture to minister deliverance to anyone who requests me to do so, unless I know that such a person will be sitting under my teaching for at least a year after being set free.
Why The Change?
Because I have come to learn that getting the devil out the door is only part of the process!
Unless the house is swept clean AND FULLY OCCUPIED, Jesus says the same demon will return and upon finding the house clean and vacant, will find seven others more powerful than himself to occupy the house, causing the state of that man to be worse than it ever was before.
Deliverance is dangerous unless we take the responsibility to see it all the way through!
Our responsibility does not end with casting out demons. It ends when we have properly dealt with the person who was possessed.
The habitual strongholds in that person’s life needs to become Spirit-led. In other words, what has caused the devil to come in in the first place needs to change.
The self satisfying ties (of lust, greed, self gratification, gluttony, etc) does not leave the person when the devil leaves, they continue to be a part of that person and the habits they have formed over the years.
These soul-ties needs to be destroyed by a renewing of their inner being.
Their mind needs to renewed to be freed from what continuously causes them to falter and to fail.
Their habits needs to be changed that previously opened doors to demonic activity.
Deliverance is far more than exorcism. It is the deliverance and the renewing of the entire person, to be brought under the influence and the dominion of God’s Power within.
It is a total transformation that is required, and therefore goes beyond an instant act of deliverance, to a period of discipleship in being renewed by the inner-transforming Power of the Holy Spirit and the renewing of the inner-man by the Power of His Living Word.
I therefore can only minister deliverance when I know that I can walk with such a person until they are totally free, both from within themselves, as well as being free from the oppressing and dominating spirits that once controlled them.

Phenomenal.
Very true, after delivery we need close support and guidance spiritually otherwise the chance of fallling back to one’s familiar ways quick especially if surrounded by unbelievers.
