Maturity is Needed in the Prophet
The 5 fold ministry gift requires all levels of maturity from those occupying it to function properly!
I am narrowing my scope to the ministry of the prophet, because that’s about the most desired office today that everyone claims he occupies!
Please note that, under the Old Testament there was no much preparation to operate in the office for The Spirit of God came upon the person and begins to use him.. Elijah, Elisha, Amos etc.
But under the New Testament, there seems to be a solid preparation by The Holy Spirit and from the called!
An inward transformation is required, the temper of the man must be regulated and controlled else he uses the authority of that office to destroy lives he is supposed to build!
But one of the maturity required to occupy the office is the maturity to know The LORD personally and intimately!
Why? Because, the prophets is given an ability to perceive the Spirit world and where the prophet is not grounded in the Word and knowledge of The LORD, He WILL introduce some elements of witchery into the body and think they are spiritual symbols.
They ask God’s People to bring nails and nail it to a tree and say, that’s the destiny of your enemies nailed! This is NOT of The LORD!
Such prophets has one hand in heaven and possibly the other in hell, as Aaron the high priest who made a god out of the gold for the people.
Many believe that prophets are NOT good teachers of the Word, well if they are NOT, how come they are supposed to function in the apostolic in the absence of apostles?
The New Testament prophets differ a great deal from the old testament prophets. We must ensure we present the substance not elements to God’s people and Jesus is the substance!
