Masks, Cups and Saucers — Let’s Find True Contentment in Him!
Good morning.
Today I wish to start with this old song by Michael Combs. I feel the anointing of God on it. Please don’t forget to play.
This article is to the sinner and saved alike. It is to be applied to ‘Whomever’ needs it.
All masks on us need to come off. Still does that mean we bare and tell everything we know to everyone? No, for the Bible tells us to guard our heart.
“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23.
If I write empty, cliche words to you, then I have failed any one reading.
Many are crying out for help in these troublesome times. They just want something to be right in their life! They are looking for the ‘Real’ deal.
Many we are coming into contact with, are hurting badly and craving truth!
“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32.
There is no solution which will work but one. It has to be found in Jesus Christ.
Why do people keep looking for peace and contentment outside of The LORD?
“But godliness with contentment is great gain.” 1 Timothy 6:6.
If it works, and I can tell you personally it does, then “Work it”!
“Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thy heart.” Proverbs 3:3.
We just must make sure we are drinking from the ‘right cup’, The LORD’s cup!
So many in this modern age are trying to mix it up and drink from two different cups!!
“Ye cannot drink the cup of The LORD, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of The LORD’s table, and of the table of devils.” 1 Corinthians 10:21.
Let’s choose to let the Cup of The LORD overflow!
Closing with this beloved promise in the Bible to you:
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7.
“Drinking From My Saucer
“I’ve never made a fortune
And it’s probably too late now
But I don’t worry about that much
I’m happy anyhow
And as I go along life’s journey
I’m reaping better than I sow
I’m drinking from my saucer
’cause my cup has overflowed
Haven’t got a lot of riches
And sometimes the going’s tough
But I’ve got loving ones around me
And that makes me rich enough
I thank God for His Blessings
And the Mercies He’s bestowed
I’m drinking from my saucer
’cause my cup has overflowed
Oh, remember times when things went wrong
My Faith wore somewhat thin
But all at once the dark clouds broke
And sun peeped through again
So LORD, help me not to gripe
About the tough rows that I’ve hoed
I’m drinking from my saucer
’cause my cup has overflowed
If God gives me strength and courage
When the way grows steep and rough
I’ll not ask for other blessings
I’m already blessed enough
And may I never be too busy
To help others bear their loads
Then I’ll keep drinking from my saucer
’cause my cup has overflowed!”

Yes…no matter what the hurt…loss…or tragedy he will reach out to us to help us bear it…Promice…and to guide us in what to do.
It was a delight Mary to see your comment.
Absolutely what you spoke is so true. God bless you
