Marriage and Relationships: The GODLY Perspective
“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness?” 2 Corinthians 6:14.
A lot of times we can avoid a lot of heartache and heart break by slowing down to make sure we know what we are getting into, and who we are connecting with before entering into a lifetime commitment of marriage..
It is good to seek God for guidance and use Wisdom.. Let the Spirit speak instead of the flesh. Thereby you can avoid a lot of sleepless nights and you won’t have to stay up late at night asking yourself… “Why in the world did I do this?” or, “What was I thinking about?”…..
God is giving you double!
“Instead of your shame there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore in their land they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy” Isaiah 61:7.
For all of the shame and the pain. God is going to give you a double portion to possess! What a surprise is coming for the enemy of our souls.
Our God just sits back and laugh at all of the tactics and the tricks as the enemy attacks His faithful ones. There is no need to sit around with your head hung down in shame for the things that you have lost!
Hold your head up for the God you serve is about to honor you with a double portion of blessings in every area. Just as He gave Job double for all of his troubles… He is going to reward you for all of your faithfulness, trusting, endurance, and holding on to his hand in spite of it all.
Have a spirit of expectancy because God is going to endow you with a double portion that will cause everlasting joy!
Giving Liberally and Freely….
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” 2 Corinthians 9:7.
’tis the season to give and be generous…. Always give if you have to give and are led of the Lord. God does not intimidate us. There will be plenty around us in our neighborhoods, communities, and churches that are in need.
Let’s give whatever the Lord has provided us too. Our time, finances if we are able, food and any other necessities if we have and are able to give. For ’tis the season to give…but give to the needy and not the greedy. God bless!
Don’t Sweat and don’t Fret!
“Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb” Psalms 37:1-2.
Don’t fret because of the evil that others say and do toward you or others. A lot of time it seems that people who do the most evil towards others; or those who live wickedly does the most prospering in life.
It seems that they get away forever with what they are saying and doing against others. It seems as if the more wrong they do, the more they seem to be successful and prosper at everything! It seems the more that they mistreat and abuse others, the more they achieve…. But God sees them!
God sees them and he knows that their days are limited. A person can only do wrong and get by for so long and then God will cut them down to nothing. No matter who you are or how big you think you are.
No matter how much money you have, God will raise his mighty hand against the wicked and cut them off and cut them down to nothing. One minute you will see the wicked high and mighty and the next minute, God will have cut them down to dried weeds.
So don’t worry about evil doers who lift their head proudly and arrogantly, those who think that they are above God! Their days are numbered with the Lord and He will handle everybody or everything that comes against his faithful ones!

Hebrews 13:4 (NKJV) Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
Psalms 126:3-6 (NKJV)
The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad. Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
