Marital Disharmony At This Time? NO Indeed!
David told his antagonistic, contentious and bullying big brother: “What have I done now? Is there not a cause?” (1 Samuel 17:29).
There is a cause to fight, Mr and Mrs; don’t fight each other. Fight the foe! Unite and fight the evil one. Don’t be like David’s big brother.
It was ridiculous, really. Israel was at the battlefront, wearied for forty days by the enemy: the Philistines and Goliath their champion. David, sent by their father, diligently and dutifully arrived in the dangerous, fearful situation with supplies of food for his senior brothers as well as “the captain of their thousand.” (1 Samuel 17:17-18).
David was soon to deliver his senior brothers and all of Israel from their terrifying enemy.
Incredibly, Eliab, his oldest brother, rather turned on him! Eliab’s anger was aroused against David, instead of facing Goliath. (In fact, “all the men of Israel [including this Eliab], when they saw [Goliath], fled from him and were dreadfully afraid.” (1 Samuel 17:24)).
Eliab was tearing his little brother apart instead of uniting with him to fight the foe.
My beloved brethren, there is a vicious, violent war raging. Our adversary, the devil, is doing everything to devour and destroy us, and, instead of uniting to fight him, you are fighting each other in your marriage?!
As The LORD of peace, yes, The Prince of peace, Jesus Christ said, “If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand,” Mark 3:25.
Marital strife, indeed any strife, is swiftly self-destructive. Strife is one of the adversary’s most devastating weapons; it works like a torpedo sent into a ship. It is devastating.
Don’t allow strife in your life, marriage, or any other areas of life. STOP IT NOW, lest you drown and perish! Don’t you fear God for your salvation?
“But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there,” James 3:14-16.
I have just read a comment on HKP by a sister called Bridget. She said, among other things,
‘Please keep me in prayer for “that enemy” has been working through my husband for over 18 years. I know the demon I am dealing with today. If my husband is not delivered, I pray I can get a second chance to divorce him ASAP.’
Seeing the danger, I responded to Bridget’s comment with the help of The Holy Spirit. And what I said to one, I say to all. Thus, my response to Bridget’s comment forms the core of this Word.
It is written,
“The Wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.” James 3:17-18 emphasis added.
Urgently seek and hear The Wisdom of The Greater-than-Solomon here, Jesus Christ The Son of God, (Matthew 12;42). Quit strife immediately. It will destroy your life and marriage.
Don’t seek divorce; seek deliverance by The Blood of Jesus for your marriage.
Don’t do what God hates. God says He hates divorce.
As written,
“…You cover the altar of The LORD with tears, with weeping and crying; so He does not regard the offering anymore, nor receive it with goodwill from your hands. Yet you say, “For what reason?”
Because The LORD has been witness between you and the wife of your youth, with whom you have dealt treacherously; yet she is your companion and your wife by covenant. But did He not make them one, having a remnant of The Spirit? And why one? He seeks Godly offspring. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth.
“For The LORD God of Israel says that He hates divorce, for it covers one’s garment with violence,” says The LORD of hosts.
“Therefore take heed to your spirit, THAT YOU DO NOT DEAL TREACHEROUSLY.” Malachi 2:13-16 emphasis added.
Also, as written,
“Now to the married I command, yet not I but The LORD: a wife is not to depart from her husband,“ 1 Corinthians 7:10.
Mister, missus, check if there is a log in your own eyes, and immediately remove it with the help of The Holy Spirit.
Ask The LORD to help you forgive your spouse.
Repent for your personal, parental, ancestral sins (all the way to Adam and Eve) which are bringing you marital troubles. In other words, repent for your sins, the sins of your spouse, the sins of your respective parents, the sins of your respective ancestors (father’s line and mother’s line respectively — all the way to Adam and Eve).
Pray for The Blood of Jesus to make atonement for your souls and marriage, and cleanse your persons and marriage from all unrighteousness.
By The Blood of Jesus, break and destroy all demonic covenants regarding your lives and marriage, and replace them with The Blood of The Everlasting Covenant, The Blood of Jesus.
Then, in The Name of Jesus Christ, relentlessly COMMAND the unclean spirits of division, divorce, isolation, separation, strife, (any others the Holy Spirit may reveal to you; ask Him to), to go out of you, your husband and your marriage (and your children, if applicable)!
Keep commanding them to go out until your marriage is totally free.
By The Blood of Jesus, let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamour (loud quarrelling), and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. These things GRIEVE The Holy Spirit! (Ephesians 4:30-31).
Close all demonic doors to your life and marriage with The Blood of Jesus, with The Cross of Christ. Hallelu-YAH!
Always cover your marriage with The Blood of Jesus.
If possible, get your spouse involved in the prayers. Pray to The LORD Jesus to help you by His Holy Spirit in your overture, and give you favour with him or her. Jesus will easily, faithfully do it if you ask Him in faith.
Fight the enemy of your soul, marriage and joy. Don’t fight your spouse, PLEASE.
“For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places,” Ephesians 6:12 NLT.
Mr and Mrs, please unite for the cause. (Gently, lovingly let your spouse read this Word).
