Jesus Christ is the “light of the world” (John 8:12). The Born Again Child of God once“walked in darkness” and in the “land of the shadow of death,” but now they have “seen [this] great light”; the light of Christ has shined on those who are saved (Isaiah 9:2). He has graciously “called men OUT OF DARKNESS INTO HIS MARVELOUS LIGHT” (1 Peter 2:9). Through Christ men become “children of light” (Matthew 5:14-16, Ephesians 5:8) and walk in his light (1 John 1:7).

We who are still walking in Light are no longer children “of the night or of darkness”

(1 Thessalonians 5:5). We (who have been ENLIGHTENED should now “have no fellowship with” the things of this world but we are told in the Scriptures to expose the “unfruitful works of darkness” (Ephesians 5:11). Scriptures speak saying, in the last days, “darkness will cover the earth and gross darkness the people,” but the glory and light of Christ will shine on us (Isaiah 60:1-2).

So what is going on with many “Churches” who have become more like Nightclubs then…. LIGHT CLUBS? Why are many “Churches” changing their worship and lifestyle, suddenly exchanging the light of Jesus Christ for the darkness of the World, death, and hell? Why are many exchanging their Lighted and Holy Worship for Darkness and Worldly Worship? Why are many exalting the things of the World more than the Things of the Kingdom of God? When you walk into many places set aside “for Worship” today, why do you get the idea you are walking into a Nightclub? It is so bad in some places the ushers need a flashlight to help you find a seat!!!

Why are many calling good evil and evil good? (Isaiah 5:20).

To those who have, before they got Saved or walked away from God and begin to live worldly, have been in Nightclubs. NIGHTCLUBS have an ATMOSPHERE. That atmosphere is setting the stage to lose living and the darkness hides them in their evil actions. Cheaters like DARK PLACES where they are not recognized. Many, not all, people who frequent nightclubs go there to meet someone, and many are married and have a wife or husband at home….. Or many married couples go to Nightclubs and dance around. They like it that way so they have a chance to cheat on their spouse.

All this is enhanced by the DARKNESS and it is sometimes very easy to do things in darkness they would never do in the Light of day.

It has always been that way even from the beginning of time. The Bible says that MEN LOVED DARKNESS RATHER THAN THE LIGHT. Because they did the bible says they WOULD NOT COME TO THE TRUTH. Now Read it:

“¹⁹ The [basis of the] judgment (indictment, the test by which men are judged, the ground for the sentence) lies in this: the Light has come into the world, and people have loved the darkness rather than and more than the Light, for their works (deeds) were evil.²⁰ For every wrongdoer hates (loathes, detests) the Light, and will not come out into the Light but shrinks from it, lest his works (his deeds, his activities, his conduct) be exposed and reproved.
21 But he who practices truth [who does what is right] comes out into the Light; so that his works may be plainly shown to be what they are — wrought with God[divinely prompted, done with God’s help, in dependence upon Him]” John 3:19-21 AMP.

I would call your attention to several truths clearly stated in the above verses:

1. The Basis of the Judgment of God will be based on wither or not men worked works of LIGHT, or worked works of DARKNESS.
2. Light CAME INTO THE WOLD but men LOVED DARKNESS MORE THAN THE LIGHT.
3. The reason they loved Darkness was because their deeds were evil.
4. The wicked would not come to the Light because they wanted to hide their evil.
5. The wicked did not like to be reproved or exposed.
6. The wicked HATE LIGHT.
7. The righteous man COMES TO THE LIGHT to expose to everyone his right standing with God and that his deeds are worked for God.

It must be noted then that WORKS OF DARKNESS are contrasted with the WORKS OF THE LIGHT. If the scriptures are so plain about Light and Darkness, than why would a Saved Person enjoy worship in the dark? What would be attractive about that? I believe it is because of the evil in them (even evil thoughts and demons that have taken up residence in them) that drives their desire to be in a DARKENED ROOM. It is definitely more than an ATMOSPHERE. It certainly could not be explained with adequate words to prove that darkening a room was conducive to TRUE WORSHIP.

The reasonable explanation as to why many “Churches” are turning off the Lights is because of their WORLDLY DESIRES OF THE FLESH. These know very well what they are doing; they are worldly and desire worldly places. They want to turn the church into a worldly place so they will feel comfortable.

Some “Churches” may be turning down the Lights to hide just how worldly the people are dressing!

I noticed that in these places the women dressing very explicit and wearing less and less clothing and even very tight clothing. The men likewise do the same. Is it not that they want the opposite sex to see them? I believe it is. It is an unholy desire of the flesh. FLESH LIKES THE DARK. Flesh would enjoy the shadows in which to work the flesh works.

On top of this taking off the clothing in the dark (which the world does regularly before all to see in the movies and in reality) now we hear the DEAFENING LOUD ROCK MUSIC which turns the Flesh on. Oh yes, BEAT MUSIC DOES A REAL THING TO THE FLESH. The flesh responds to the beat. Have you ever been riding down the road and one of those cars with BOOM SPEAKERS drive up beside you? The music BEAT is so loud that the ground shakes, everything around them shakes. The man and women in the car were caught up and… LOST IN THE MUSIC. I see them jiving to the music as they go down the road. THE BEAT GETS INTO THEIR NURVIS SYSTEM AND EXCITES THE BODY REFLEXES. People become more relaxed and permissive in worldly music which stirs their Flesh emotions.

Remember when Elvis came along and the girls climbed over each other in mass hysteria to get closer to the stage? IT WAS HIS MUSIC, DRESS STYLE, AND BODY MOVEMENTS THAT TURNED THEM ON. Music did cause the hormones to heat up. Music today, WORLDLY MUSIC which is NOT SPIRITUAL will do the same. This is why we must guard the music.

The Bible says that we are to have SPIRITUAL SONGS. Songs that speak about Spiritual things, not worldly things which will lead men away from true worship, should have no entrance in SPIRITUAL WORSHIP. The church is no place for the song or beat of the World. Instead it ought to be THE MUSIC OF PRAISE AND OF HEAVEN. WRONG MUSIC can lend to the World and turn on the Flesh to evil desires. This is a proven fact. But SPIRITUAL MUSIC users in the Presence of the Holy Spirit and brings HOLY PRAISE AND BLESSING.

Some years ago when I was in a certain church, I saw men light up cigarettes five feet from the pulpit after a service. I did walk up and say, would you gentlemen please take those cigarettes outside! Please do not do that in the ministry area? They looked at me like I was crazy, why one man said, didn’t you know that smoking will never send anyone to hell, and they all laughed. I never went back to that “Church”. Well some of the “Churches” I have been in SMACKED SO MUCH OF A NIGHTCLUB, I did never go back there either.

If present trends to the world keep on going, they might eventually serve alcoholic drinks in the church. Why not, they want the world? They already are having dances in the many “Churches” today. (Note: I do not make reference to SPIRITUAL DANCING BEFORE THE LORD which is perfectly good to do in worship)….. ***BUT… When it is dark, and the men and women have on few clothes and look like the world with every possible FLESH HANGING OUT, the Music is Loud and has that ROCK AND ROLL BEAT, and they begin to dance about, (jumping up and down close together, one is reminded of the days in the DANCE CLUB and the HONKY TONK OR NIGHTCLUB when the dancing became wild and fleshly.

NO WONDER THE LOST ARE BEING ATTRACTED TO THE “CHURCH” OF TODAY. BUT… PLEASE NOTE… IT IS NOT… THE HOLY SPIRIT!!! Than the Question we must ask is: ARE THEY REALLY BEING SAVED… OR ARE THEY BEING ENTERTAINED?

SO WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE CHURCH TODAY?

Sin is welcome. The World is Welcome. Looseness is leading to infidelity and sexual sins, ALL IN THE NAME OF GOD AND WORSHIP. Don’t forget that JESUS SAID: IF YOU SO MUCH AS EVEN LOOK WITH LUST YOU HAVE COMMITTED ADULTERY. He said men did not have to ACTUALLY HAVE SEX TO COMMIT ADULTERY, ONLY TO THINK…. ABOUT IT.

In the days of Elijah they were having WORSHIP IN THE GROVES where men and women went to perverted sex and said they were worshiping God!!! IS THE CHURCH BECOMING LIKE THE WORSHIP OF BAAL AND THE GROVES?

Call me narrow if you wish. Mark me off your Friend List, if you want to….. IF YOU LIKE THE DARK, I WONDER IF YOU ARE A CHILD OF THE LIGHT.

I’d rather be an OLD TIME CHRISTIAN and SHOW THE LOVE OF GOD, than anything I know.

SCRIPTURE TO CONSIDER:

“⁶ He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
⁷ Brethren, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you heard from the beginning. ⁸ Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining.
⁹ He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. ¹⁰ He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. ¹¹ But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

Their Spiritual State

¹² I write to you, little children,
Because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake.
¹³ I write to you, fathers,
Because you have known Him who is from the beginning.
I write to you, young men,
Because you have overcome the wicked one.
I write to you, little children,
Because you have known the Father.
¹⁴ I have written to you, fathers,
Because you have known Him who is from the beginning.
I have written to you, young men,
Because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you,
And you have overcome the wicked one.

Do Not Love the World

¹⁵ Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. ¹⁶ For all that is in the world — the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life — is not of the Father but is of the world. ¹⁷ And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever” 1 John 2:6-17 NKJV.

I have obeyed the Lord and the heart of the Father concerning how we should live AS CHILDREN OF THE LIGHT.
