Many are calling Jesus a…. “LIAR”! – Lesson 1 in Series
Let me ask you a Question: DO YOU THINK JESUS WOULD LIE in his Word? We go about in defense of the Word of God saying we believe it to be exactly that, “The Words of God” than turn around and question it as to what it says.
Let me ask you another Question: DO YOU THINK THE BIBLE CONTRADICTS ITSELF? Many say that the Bible is the perfect and spoken Word of God than turn around and point out how it contradicts itself. If the Bible is the Word of God, AND IT IS, than it should all AGREE. All the verses will back up the whole. The Scriptures were written by the Holy Spirit as he moved upon men to write. Since the Holy Spirit is the Author of the Book in reality, and the Holy Spirit is God, than WILL GOD CONTRADICT HIMSELF? If God the Holy Spirit says one thing in one place and ANOTHER DIFFERENT CONFLICTING THING IN ANOTHER… would that make him A LIAR and INCONSISTENT?
If you believe that the Holy Spirit did make a MISTAKE in the writing of the Scriptures than you are saying GOD DID MAKE A MISTAKE. Well wouldn’t this be a very “Terrible Sin” to ascribe to God.
Let us consider where God himself talks of himself concerning lying:
“God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” Numbers 23:19 KJV.
The above verse does tell us that, God does not lie and that God will BACK UP ALL HE HAS SPOKEN. It would be than a dangerous thing to say that God is a liar or that he contradicted himself in his own word which He has spoken to us. God has spoken the truth and men do not understand it than, this is the only real way that we can explain things concerning the word. The Apostle Paul said this:
“15 Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzingand accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth.
16 But avoid all empty (vain, useless, idle) talk, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness.
17 And their teaching [will devour; it] will eat its way like cancer or spread like gangrene. So it is with Hymenaeus and Philetus, 18 Who have missed the mark and swerved from the truth by arguing that the resurrection has already taken place. They are undermining the faith of some” 2 Timothy 2:15-18.
The Apostle Paul did take careful time to explain to Timothy a young man who was desiring to be a Pastor that he should RIGHTLY DIVIDE THE WORD OF GOD. He says to him that he MUST BE ACCURATE, and SKILLFUL in his teaching of the Word. He explained to Timothy that IF YOU DO NOT… YOU COULD UNDERMINE THE FAITH OF SOMEONE. He said some had even done this and MISSED THE MARK AND SWERVED FROM THE TRUTH.
Paul said again,
“3 What if some did not believe and were without faith? Does their lack of faithand their faithlessness nullify and make ineffective and void the faithfulness of God and His fidelity [to His Word]?
4 By no means! Let God be found true though every human being is false and a liar, as it is written, That You may be justified and shown to be upright in what You say, and prevail when You are judged [by sinful men]” Romans 3:3-4
Paul said that God is always found true “to his word” and that anyone else who comes along and says different is false and a Liar.
NOW THAT ALL THAT HAS BEEN SAID AND ESTABLISHED:
Let me put this before each person reading this teaching: I will quote two verses of Scripture that speak in the Word of God, both are the Word of God one is the word of JESUS HIMSELF, the other is the Word of Apostle Paul. ***(((BOTH ARE THE WORD OF GOD) I will than ask you this question, HOW CAN WE RECONCILE THE TWO?
I believe that in order to answer and understand what is being said here all MUST seek the answer from Scripture itself and through Prayer with the Help of the Holy Spirit to understand. Many are using the Second verses to PROVE.. that a Christian can BE LOST AGAIN…. AFTER HE IS BORN AGAIN and has become a True Child of God. The verse spoken by Jesus says otherwise. There MUST BE A INTERPRETATION found to understand these verses, that, BY THE WAY DO NOT CONTRADICT EACH OTHER on the teaching of SALVATION. Remember, The Scriptures will not disagree or contradict each other, so what than is the answer? Here are the verses to compare:
*****FIRST VERSES:
***JESUS CHRIST SAID:
“37 All whom My Father gives (entrusts) to Me will come to Me; and the one who comes to Me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, no never, reject one of them who comes to Me].
38 For I have come down from heaven not to do My own will and purpose but to do the will and purpose of Him Who sent Me.
39 And this is the will of Him Who sent Me, that I should not lose any of all that He has given Me, but that I should give new life and raise [them all] up at the last day.
40 For this is My Father’s will and His purpose, that everyone who sees the Son and believes on Him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up [from the dead] at the last day” John 6:37-40.
*****SECOND VERSES:
THE WRITER OF HEBREWS SAID:
“4 For it is impossible [to restore and bring again to repentance] those who have been once for all enlightened, who have consciously tasted the heavenly gift and have become sharers of the Holy Spirit,
5 And have felt how good the Word of God is and the mighty powers of the age and world to come, 6 If they then deviate from the faith and turn away from their allegiance—[it is impossible] to bring them back to repentance, for (because, while, as long as) they nail upon the cross the Son of God afresh [as far as they are concerned] and are holding [Him] up to contempt and shame and public disgrace” Hebrews 6:4-6.
Now that you see the verses, Let me say this, MANY ARE SAYING THAT THE SECOND VERSE MEANS THAT A SAVED PERSON WILL BE LOST IF THEY DO TURN AWAY… and that it would be IMPOSSIBLE TO REPENT or come back to God.
Is this what these verses say? IF SO, than how do you explain the FACT that Jesus said that HE WOULD LOOSE NONE OF THOSE WHO THE FATHER GAVE HIM… and that He would NEVER FORSAKE THEM, and that He WOULD RAISE ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO WHERE GIVEN HIM UP IN THE LAST DAY???
Many are making it sound like mans salvation depends upon their Faithfuness to OBEY AND NOT SIN ETC.. to remain saved, after salvation. They are in direct opposition to what Jesus Said above. IT CAN NOT BE BOTH WAYS… IT HAS TO EITHER BE …
ETERNAL SALVATION FOR ALL WHO BELIEVE… BASED UPON GOD’S PROMISE
OR
GOD WILL NOT SAVE EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES BUT WILL THROW SOME INTO HELL WHO DO NOT CONTINUE.
You must know that GOD WILL NEVER LIE. So we MUST conclude that there is ANOTHER ANSWER here other than the Loss of Salvation to those who believe. Jesus DID NOT nor will he ever LIE. Jesus said ALL WOULD BE SAVED ETERNALLY who come to Him and Believe.
WHAT IS THE ANSWER:
I will give the answer in LESSON 2. In the meantime, you think about it.
