I heard the LORD say, “I have created My people for MY GLORY…”

Recently the Spirit of God has been really ministering to me prophetically from Exodus 33. Think with me for a moment. Moses was raised up by the LORD for a mighty purpose to be the deliverer of a whole nation, God’s chosen people Israel.

They were slaves. They were held captive to Pharaoh and the Egyptians. But God saw them in their affliction. He saw them held in their chains. And the LORD used Moses not only to perform mighty miracles in the presence of Pharaoh but even to go as far as to raise his staff and part the Red Sea!

But even with all of this being said, with all the mighty deliverance and miracles God provided for His people how quick they were to bow before false idols and images. We read in Exodus 32 and 33 that while Moses is on the mount with the LORD the people are down below worshipping the golden calf they had made with what?

The very TREASURE that GOD had GIVEN them in the midst of their deliverance.

But we go on to read in Exodus 33 that the LORD desired to consume the people for their idolatry. But it says in that MOMENT that the children of Israel STRIPPED themselves of their ornaments and humbled themselves in the presence of God.

“And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the Mount Horeb,” Exodus 33:6.

My dear brothers and sisters. We are in a SEASON of great STRIPPING. It is the hour where the Spirit of the living God is calling His people to STRIP themselves of their idols and even those things that we have received from Him but have placed to much affection on.

But the LORD says that this season, it is in the stripping that we make ROOM for the GLORY of GOD! Hallelujah!

My friends, the STRIPPING may be painful! It may hurt, be uncomfortable and undesirable to let go of those things. But even yesterday I heard the LORD say, “I have created my people for MY GLORY!”

We were created to have fellowship with, commune with, and walk in the GLORY and PRESENCE of GOD!

The call of God in this hour is to obey the Spirit of God and what He is speaking in our lives. It’s time to make room. It’s time to take some layers off.

It’s time to get rid of some things. It’s time because the GLORY of GOD is ready to invade our lives so that we might be most useful to the Master to advance the Kingdom of God.
