There is a beautiful story in 2 Kings 4 that speaks today and the Lord told me to WRITE IT HERE for all to read so I am now obeying the Lord to place this Story here for your prayerful reading. He did as well give me words to say about this story. Thus saith the Lord in…..

2 KINGS 4:8-17
8 And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.
9 And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually.
10 Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither.
12 And he said to Gehazi his servant, Call this Shunammite. And when he had called her, she stood before him.
13 And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful for us with all this care; what is to be done for thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among mine own people.
14 And he said, What then is to be done for her? And Gehazi answered, Verily she hath no child, and her husband is old.
15 And he said, Call her. And when he had called her, she stood in the door.
16 And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thine handmaid.
17 And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life.

When this great woman of God, who believed God and wanted to do something to help serve the Lord, saw this Prophet and Man of God, she said to herself, I would like to help him; I am sure he has some need of a place to sleep, but also she saw that If he came by her house she would be doing something for God and that would fulfill her heart desire. (SHE HAD A DESIRE TO DO SOMETHING FOR GOD AND WAS SEARCHING FOR WHAT SHE COULD DO!) So she ask her husband, Could we make a small Prophet Chamber on the side of our house to offer the Prophet when he comes by?; I see him passing by here and he needs help. OK the husband said, that will not be much to do and will not cost much and would be a good thing to do……, so the woman went to work and did it, building a room just for the Man of God and furnishing it with a good bed a lamp stand and some food etc.

When the Prophet passed by she said to him, PLEASE, I HAVE MADE ROOM FOR YOU, PLEASE STAY HERE…… Well you must know that even Prophets get weary and need to rest, plus they eat. So he was very thankful for the room. Matter fact, he knew his authority and power in the Lord to bless, so he called his traveling servant and consulted with him saying, WHAT DOES THAT LADY NEED THAT I COULD BLESS HER.. ??? The servant said SHE HAS NO CHILD AND IS BARREN… Oh said the Prophet, THAT IS NOT HARD… I WILL ASK GOD. He called the woman and said, THIS TIME NEXT YEAR YOU WILL HAVE A CHILD.

Well you must know the very reason she was blessed. IT WAS NOT SO MUCH THAT SHE BLESSED THE PROPHET, BUT …….***(((SHE MADE ROOM FOR THE ANOINTING….”GOD”.)))*** She did a work for THE HOLY SPIRIT ANOINTING by offering the Anointing a PLACE TO WORK.

Now a simple story, but one that is Profound. What are you doing? Are you making room for THE ANOINTING??? “GOD TO WORK?”
