Loving The LORD
“He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” John 14:21
Years ago, The LORD spoke to me and said that the reason so many in The Church struggle in their relationship with Him was simply because they didn’t love Him.
At the time, I struggled to understand this, as I myself had wavered in the past as well, yet I believed that I loved The LORD.
Jesus helped me to understand that most struggle serving Him, because it requires one to come to the end of themselves, and we are born full of self-will.
In order to maintain our relationship by keeping His commandments, we must die to self, because sin is selfish.
However, most would rather live their lives in partiality; telling themselves that “no one is perfect (yet Jesus said, ‘be ye perfect’)” so that they can continue in their inconsistencies.
Yet, those same people want to feel, see, and experience Jesus, and will spend most of their Christian lives searching for God in the outer courts (i.e., Churches, conferences, revivals), without ever learning to dwell with Him in the inner court (the secret place).
I want you to know that the promises of God are strategic: they come with disclosures. And those guidelines are the questions for our soul: are you willing to obey, submit, and be faithful at all cost?
Too many Christians are wanting sheep benefits while they’re living goat lifestyles.
And in these cases, one will always find themselves wanting and lacking, because shepherds don’t raise goats.
