Love Makes Up For Practically Anything
A psalm to praise and sing to God, out loud.
Love Makes Up For Practically Anything
Everything in the world
Is about to be wrapped up
So take nothing for granted
Stay wide awake in prayer
Most of all love each other
Like your life depended on it.
Love makes up for practically anything
Even if your brother or sister sins against you
Rebuke them and if they repent forgive them
Even if they sin against you seven times in a day
And seven times come back to you saying,
“I repent”, you must forgive them
Let not hate into your heart
Keep it full of forgiveness
Did not Jesus teach that Love
Is the greatest of all?
To love the Father and to love our neighbors
Like we love ourselves?
Be kind and tenderhearted to one another
Love can turn a heart around In a heartbeat
For our Father who is Love sees all we do!
Pray for your enemies
For they are lost and held captive
For you were once like them;
With scales covering your eyes
And believing Satan’s lies
Pray for their souls day and night
To receive the Light of Christ
And if you see another in need
Bind up their wounds and watch after them
You are the salt and light of the earth
With His Spirit inside you
And His Love commanding you
Inasmuch that that soul may see the goodness of the LORD
And turn to Christ!
Let all that you do be done in Love
For it binds everything together in perfect harmony
If anyone slaps you on the right cheek,
Turn to him the other also.
And if anyone would sue you and take your tunic,
Let him have your cloak as well.
And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.
Everything in the world
Is about to be wrapped up
So take nothing for granted
Stay wide awake in prayer
Most of all love each other
Like your life depended on it.
Love makes up for practically anything
Oh let gracious words be a honeycomb,
Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones
Let all that you do be done in love
For it binds up everything in perfect harmony
For our Father who is Love sees all we do!
Let us abide in Love
Because Love makes up for practically anything

“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” John 15:22
“Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:31
“Everything in the world is about to be wrapped up. So take nothing for granted. Stay wide awake in prayer. Most of all love each other like your life depended on it. Love makes up for practically anything.” 1 Peter 4:7-8 TLB
“Even if your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them and if they repent, forgive them. Even if they sin against you seven times in a day seven times come back to you saying, “I repent,” you must forgive them.” Luke 17:3-4
“Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times.”” Matthew 18:21-22
“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if anyone would sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you. “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” Matthew 5:38-48
“And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.” Colossians 4:18
“But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.” Luke 6:27-28
“Jesus replied, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him and departed, leaving him half dead. Now by chance a priest was going down that road, and when he saw him he passed by on the other side. So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion. He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him. And the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him, and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.’ Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?” He said, “The one who showed him mercy.”
And Jesus said to him, “You go, and do likewise.”” Luke 10:30-37
“Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.” Proverbs 16:24
“Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self control than one who takes a city.” Proverbs 16:32
“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” 1 John 3:18
