I can hear The LORD singing, “Tonight, Tonight,” then there’s a quiet pause, as I wait for Him to continue.

But instead, I hear, “Tonight, Tonight,” and then a quiet pause again….

Its during the pause that I think I recognize the tune I’m hearing, but I don’t know all the words, only the first two words, that He’s said.

So I do a search on it. I then realize He’s singing again, only this time there is more.

I quickly start writing down what I’m hearing, hoping He will continue. I love when He sings to me!

So He starts again, “Tonight, Tonight, It all began tonight…. I saw you and the world went away.”

I then realized He was singing some of the lyrics of “Tonight, Tonight” from the 1961 musical, “West Side Story“.

Even though I don’t know the words, The LORD did. He started singing again,

“Tonight, tonight, it all began tonight
I saw you and the world went away

Tonight, tonight, there’s only you tonight
What you are, what you do, what you say

Today all day I had the feeling a miracle would happen
I know now I was right
For here you are and what was just a world is a star tonight

Tonight, tonight, the world is full of light
With suns and moons all over the place

Tonight, tonight the world is wild and bright
Going mad, shooting sparks into space

Today the world was just an address
A place for me to live in
No better than all right

I felt like as He sang it, it seemed to in many ways describe our relationship with Him.

How He wants us to be so focused on Him, that we don’t see all the other things that would distract us, but we see Him alone and we are focused on Him and finally have a little bigger idea how much he loves us.

Then He said, “Can’t you hear ME singing? Don’t you know how much I LOVE you?

For it is MY LOVE for you that moves you into a new position in My Kingdom.

It is My LOVE for you, that propels and motivates you to become all that I call you to become.

It’s MY LOVE that changes mankind into someone so much better, when it is given or shared.

It is the lack of MY LOVE, that brings rejection, darkness and so much more.

Remember, 1 Corinthians 13:1-10?

“If I [can] speak in the tongues of men and [even] of angels, but have not love (that reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion such as is inspired by God’s love for and in us), I am only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
If I have prophetic powers (the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), and understand all the secret truths and mysteries and possess all knowledge, and if I have [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but have not love (God’s love in me) I am nothing (a useless nobody).
Even if I dole out all that I have [to the poor in providing] food, and if I surrender my body to be burned or position: in order that I may glory, but have not love (God’s love in me), I gain nothing.
Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.
It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].
It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevails.
Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].
Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]. As for prophecy the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), it will be fulfilled and pass away; as for tongues, they will be destroyed and cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away [it will lose its value and be superseded by truth].
For our knowledge is fragmentary (incomplete and imperfect), and our prophecy (our teaching) is fragmentary (incomplete and imperfect).
But when the complete and perfect (total) comes, the incomplete and imperfect will vanish away (become antiquated, void, and superseded).” 1 Corinthians 13:1-10 AMP.

It is MY LOVE that you share, that will change the world to become more like My Kingdom that is coming.

It is MY LOVE that the enemy hates desperately, that he will do anything he can to destroy and stop it.

That is why you must LOVE ME FIRST, and then your neighbor as yourself. (Mark 12:30-34)

It is My LOVE that will change the world!”

“[Jesus said] “You shall love The LORD your God out of and with your whole heart and out of and with all your soul (your life) and out of and with all your faculty of thought and your moral understanding) and out of and with all your strength. This is the first and principal commandment.
The second is like it and is this, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.”
The scribe said to Him, “Excellently and fitly and admirably answered, “Teacher! You have said truly that He is One, and there is no other but Him; and to love Him out of and with all the heart and with all the understanding [with the faculty of quick apprehension and intelligence and keenness of discernment] and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is much more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
And when Jesus saw that he answered intelligently having his wits about him, He said to him, “You are not far from The Kingdom of God.” After that no one ventured or dared to ask Him any further question.” Mark 12:30-34.
