Love

I am not meant to be a miser of love, who holds fast to every last scrap and then refuses to share with others. This attitude reveals only that assumption that can overtake me…

That this love is measured and quantities and extended with limitations. The truth of God’s love is that it is never measured and it is never limited.

Who can measure the endless?

Who can quantify that which has no beginning and no end?

I demonstrate that I have freely received when I am also free to give.

It is so easy to glance over love as though it was Christianity 101. Yet the reality is that God’s love is so simple even a child can grasp it and yet so mind-boggling that we can spend the entirety of our lives trying to understand it and still never scratch the surface.

To know the law is to know God’s directives. To know Love is to know His heart.

Faith

In a world of constant shifting sand the only certainty is in the rock on which I stand.

While the sand is overcome and blows away it is forever here that I will stay.

While fads and fashion come and go it is this one thing I know. The life that is within me is infinitely great than the death in the world which surrounds. So amazing the grace of my LORD that all earthly wisdom it confounds.

I need not fear and I will not be shaken though all I once held dear may be taken. For He is a far greater prize than all this world can give so while all that around me passes away forever I will live.

All must choose. Each must decide where we will stand and where our hearts will abide. As for me on the solid rock I stand. All other ground is shifting sand.
