Listening to the Thunder
“God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend,” Job 37:5, NKJV.
Dear Ones:
As I was meditating on the Word and the goodness of our LORD, a cloud-band of Tropical Storm Harvey passed over our area of Mobile County, Alabama, USA.
I could hear the thunder approaching. I could sense a shift in the atmosphere even though I was inside of the house. So I pressed in to the Spirit and asked the LORD what the voice of the thunder was saying. This is what I heard.
“Listen, My child, as the thunder rolls. The rains fall and the earth trembles. The time of the torrents and torrents has come upon you now. Increase comes with the floods and the wisdom of men is put into confusion.
I AM is extending HIS hand. HIS arm of correction is fully stretched out. The lightning flashes and the thunders roars; no man can stop what I AM has set into motion.
Who can count the drops of rain as they fall to the earth?
Who can map the path of lightning as it streaks across the sky?
Who can interpret the voice of the Thunder?
For it speaks great words of wisdom. Listen with your spiritual ears and you will discern the answer: I AM.
I bring comfort to My people, because I AM always in them and with them. But those who oppose Me shall be scattered and shattered by the force of My Word.
I send the winds out of the vaults of heaven to do My bidding in this hour. Yet, I speak to My children in a still small voice to guide them in safety.
It is the time when foundations shall be tested. Those who are established on the Rock shall stand and increase. Those who built on sand and rely on the arm of man’s wisdom shall collapse and decrease.
I raise up and I bring down. My wisdom shall weigh the heart of every man, woman, and child. It is a day that will reveal the true heart condition of all.
Be comforted. The merciful shall receive mercy. The righteous ones shall come forth shining like the sun.
Fear not for I AM with you. I will never forsake you. I have pledged My love in the Blood of Son. It is finished. Receive My blessings. All is well. Shalom.”
“Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock.
And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock.
But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great,” Luke 6:47-49, NKJV.

Thank you, dear sister Mary. A song came back to my mind, when I read “Listen, My child, as the thunder rolls”… “I praise You in this storm” by Casting Crowns. Precious article, dear sister.
Especially your final sentences, all are written in the Holy Bible, and are GOD`s WORDS:
“I raise up and I bring down.
Shalom.”
