LIGHT is SPRUNG Up!!
“The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up,” Matthew 4:16 (KJV).
Surely each one of us have felt the pain of life’s inconsistencies. We have felt the rain and we have also experienced the sunshine. We have been on the mountaintop with God and we have also gone down into the deepest of valleys. We have endured the darkest of nights and also the glorious light of God’s Spirit that shines into our hearts.
Even so, I want to share an encouraging word to those who presently may be experiencing a darkness that won’t seem to flee. The Word of the Lord to you is this: the Light will SHINE through once AGAIN. Sometimes we can be doing everything we know to be right and yet still find ourselves spiritually in a cave with no apparent light. If this is you FIX your eyes upon JESUS for HIS LIGHT will soon SHINE through! The LIGHT HAS SPRUNG UP!!
About 2 years ago, my wife and I learned of the devastation of our daughter Hannah, who was diagnosed with a form of congestive heart failure (dilated cardio myopathy). Suddenly, my wife especially, experienced a pain and darkness in which her heart could not be comforted. There seemed to be no light at the end of that tunnel. BUT praise the LORD, today 2 years later my daughter has been completely healed and made whole! Hallelujah! THE LIGHT HAS SPRUNG UP!
Jesus Christ came and defeated sin, death, and the works of darkness once and for all. But there are still those SEASONS of darkness that the servants of God must go through. Let me encourage you in this moment that no matter the type of darkness you are facing, JESUS, the LIGHT of the World will soon shine into your hearts once again. It won’t last forever. For the darkest of trials, God has reserved for you the deepest wells of joy.
“Who among you fears the LORD?
Who obeys the voice of His Servant?
Who walks in darkness
And has no light?
Let him trust in the name of the LORD
And rely upon his God,” Isaiah 50:10 (NKJV).
