Let’s Rise Up Again Who Name the Name of Christ!
Good morning.
Let me encourage you this day you can make it through this life with peace and abundant joy.
We must decide no matter the cost to follow Jesus!
“For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake,” Philippians 1:29.
Yes, we are called to suffer for Jesus’ sake, as well as to believe.
Many don’t want any part of that, but a pie in the sky religion!
“It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us,” 2 Timothy 2:11-12.
Are we going to stick it out as a Christian till the end and be faithful? The other choice is when a little persecution comes, turn back!
One of the saddest scriptures in the Bible is John 6:66,
“From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.”
Do we want to be found in Him when times like these we are in today, get even rougher? I certainly do.
We just need to pull up our bootstraps and keep marching on soldiers!
The trials may get hard at times but we must press through and on.
Let me encourage you to keep walking on the straight and narrow path.
We shall be in our eternal home one day, with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Also we will see our loved ones again who have died in the faith.
We just need to be faithful and persevere till the very end!
God bless you all.
“Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.” 1 Peter 4:12-19.
~ Joyce D. McGuire
My name is Joyce D. McGuire, called to work in and for the Kingdom of God! To lead we must try to follow Jesus Christ closely. That is my heart. I am a Chaplain to the prisons; prophetic intercessor by His grace; author; and a Mother in the Kingdom of God. To many I am simply Mama Joyce. Some favorite verses of mine are Matthew 11:28-30.
To lay down our lives for God is live a of “selflessness” and not one of “Selfishness.” We live by and in The Lord’s Strength to give Him the glory as He alone is worthy. Gotta accept the Truth that it takes mich persecution to enter into the kingdom. Many are called but many refuse to accept the responsibility of paying the price of the high call of God. It requires “going through” in order to “get to” where God is taking us. Not the time to be concerned about Titles and positions but be concerned about having the ability to God to carry out His Commands He Gives. To remain connected to Jesus is to press through the pressure in becoming like Him. SURRENDER ALL TO JESUS SO THAT YOU CAN BE RAISED UP INCORRUPTIBLE.
Amen and Amen! Thank you Mitchell Jones and all so true. I appreciate you taking the time to read and comment. There needs to be a greater balance in all things in the church. Selflessness not selfishness as you said is key.
Blessings in Christ.
