Let Us Redeem the Time!
Many of us may only a few more years before we will not be able to do anything any more in our lives for The LORD — either because of our death, or because of the soon coming night Jesus referred to “in which we will not be able to do anymore work for Him.”
We need therefore now to do everything — in the still remaining years — to exploit the opportunity we still have ‘redeeming the time, as the days are increasingly evil’ as the scriptures tell us.
Soon we shall stand before The LORD in eternity and see our lives, how we have lived them, never to be able to redo them again — and how many of us then will wish: for a second opportunity to have served The LORD and His people, His brethren, in a better way when they so desperately needed our help.
So let us make from now on every day count-living as He wants us to live.
So that at least in regards to these few last years we can hear Him say when we stand before Him: “Yes, well done my faithful servant enter into the joy and presence of your LORD.”
Thus, how should we now live when evil and the Evil One seem to get more and more the upper hand?
Never there has been a time when we are constantly reminded as the days become harder and more evil that we have only a very short time left to do what we can by the strength and inspiration of The LORD before the night comes when it will not be possible any more.
Here are some of the powerful, so needed scriptures for us all:
“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith,” Galatians 6:1010.
“Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience…….
……. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand,” Ephesians 5:6, 6:13.
“4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come,” Matthew 24:4-14.
“13 And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved….….
…….19 For in those days there will be tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the creation which God created until this time, nor ever shall be. 20 And unless The LORD had shortened those days, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake, whom He chose, He shortened the days…….
….….23 But take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand. 24 “But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light,” Mark 13:13, 19-20, 23-24.
