Let Them Alone!
I was reading today in Ezra, where they were in the process of rebuilding the Temple at Jerusalem. It appeared, that some did not like that and they felt led to ask them, who told you to do what you are doing. As many do, they felt they had to report back to the King, and tell all that was going on. T he King did a search of the records, and found that it had indeed been declared so. He instructed the do-good reporters to let the building of God’s house, alone. Don’t forbid them, don’t bother them.
But somehow, I was led to another time this term was used. It was Jesus who answered a comment made by His disciples. They told Him, that the Pharisees, didn’t like something He had said to them. It was about things that defile a person. He responded by saying, “They be blind leaders of the blind.” Something struck me here. I hadn’t thought so much about before. Blind leaders, of the blind. Not only were the leaders blind, but the people they were leading, were blind also. Jesus told his disciples, to leave them alone. We’ve all read this, but it has been impressed now, for this hour.
If the blind lead the blind, sooner or later, they all will fall into the ditch. We could take a whole day, just talking about why people are blind in the spiritual sense. God has blinded some folk, and so has the god of this world. I’ve always asked myself, why? But the topic I feel we are talking about, is that comment, “Let them alone.”
Another resounding comment Jesus made, comes swiftly back from the edge of the past; not everyone who says Lord, Lord, will enter in. The next part, frightens me, and it should shake us all over again. “We did all of these things, in your Name.”
They prophesied in His name; they even cast out devils in His name. They will tell the Lord, we did many wonderful works, in your name. I can’t say the last part; my small spirit, and limited mind, cannot even bear to think, that it could be so. But He said it.
Dear God, how can this happen? Who was it, that perhaps led us to believe, that we had it made; we knew all there was to know? And maybe our eyes were opened at one time; but now, somehow, we have once again become blinded. Or is it that some of us, never knew the real truth; we couldn’t see ourselves; we didn’t want to?
Hear is the word. I feel some of us need to hear today. When you have spoken what God has given you about these things, then, leave them alone.
Railing against them, is not going to change anything. The scripture says, some are past feeling; they are not going to be moved, and they are not going to hear you. If you’ve done, what the Spirit has instructed you to do, let it go. Unless you are directed to speak certain things again, leave them alone. The end of such things, has already been determined.
If the blind lead the blind, both shall fall in the ditch. Jesus, will have the last say.
