Let is go: It’s time for a New Beginning!
“Let ALL bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with ALL malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you,” Ephesians 4:31-32.
As I was meditating, the Lord said the word Denial: the action of declaring something to be untrue; when in fact it is true!
Only the Holy Spirit can search a mans heart to find the DEEP hurt, secrets and things that are hidden in a man or woman’s heart! Many times we say we love folks, but deep within is some hidden spider web that need to be cleaned out of our closest!
Years ago I could not stand to speak or look at family members and church people whom I felt had wronged me. But the Lord dealt strongly with my spirit regarding the matter one late night as I began speaking to the Lord. The Holy Spirit began ministering to my heart and I begin singing in tongues the Lord began doing surgery on my heart and I could feel the Love of God (a warm hand touch my heart) as he began speaking to me, purging away ALL the dross that had covered it from shining like silver!
He knew I did not want to remain in that state of sin, so he allowed the Holy Spirit to do a deep spiritual cleansing upon my heart!
I have found that the worse thing an individual can do is to allow unforgiveness and unconfessed sin to lodge in your heart against folk who may or may not have meant to hurt you! When you turn it over to God, this not only releases you from pain but it sets you free and keeps many around you from being defiled with bitterness!
I hear the Lord saying, “If ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive NOT men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses,” Matthew 6:14-15.
I don’t want God to hold me in contempt for not forgiving others and holding up the blessings he has in store for me in this season for it is far better to release those who have wounded me and left me for dead by omission or commission of sin than to continue to be in captivity trying to minister to others when I myself have been over come with much sin!
The inability to really forgive is often due to a false concept that “forgetting is forgiving.” Forgetting is NOT forgiving. To be sure, if we forgive we will forget as a result. But the reverse is not true: forgetting is not forgiving – it is denial. Trying to put it out of our minds without going to God for healing equals total chaos! Total suicide!
“If we say that we have NO sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness. If we say that we have NOT sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is NOT in us,” 1 John 1:8-10.
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, ALL things are become new,” 2 Corinthians 5:17.
The order here is essential. Forgiveness first, Forgetting second.
Until real forgiveness takes place, the offense is “in our faces” as regards that person, and it is the same with God. The sin comes between us, and CANNOT be “forgotten” until dealt with.
If and when we enter into true forgiveness, we can then regard the person without the “offense” looming first and foremost between us. So, do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord,” Romans 12:19.
