Led by the Holy Spirit
And the spirit of the Lord, came upon David from that day forward. It was, that Samuel had taken the horn of oil, and anointed him, in the midst of his brethren (1 Samuel 16:13ff): just as the same Spirit, has anointed many among us. This man, would go on to do mighty things for God; but it cost him.
Joseph was also very gifted; in the end, he saved all his father’s household; but he again paid an enormous price. The anointing breaks yokes; but having it, will also bring suffering and persecution; it will bring heartbreak, from your own folk.
Perhaps, we might dwell on the positive things that comes with truly being anointed by God. He will use you, in ways, others can only covet. The pure joy of operating in the Spirit, cannot be excelled by any earthly treasure. The very idea, that the Holy Ghost has chosen to use you, is truly the most humbling feeling anyone can have.
The things the Spirit will share with you, are far beyond pleasures in the earthly realm. To be taught by the Holy Ghost, is like no other instruction; there is no greater teacher. When you see people’s lives changed, people touched and healed by the real power of God, because you dared follow Him in what He wanted to do, you couldn’t ever be the same again. Visions in the night; and even in the day.
We’ve talked about it before, but it seems it’s a topic to go over again. The religious leaders of Christ’s time, hated him. They sought to destroy Christ and they wanted Him dead, because they were so envious of Him. I think it would be on time, to talk about people who were anointed at an early age. It is one thing to be extremely talented; it is another to be talented and also anointed of the Holy Ghost. They are not the same thing.
People who are anointed when they are very young, are often mistreated and rejected, by those the closest to them. Joseph’s brothers, did not like him; it wasn’t only because his father loved him so much; they felt threatened by him. He dreamed things, that made them look small; sibling rivalry, to the extreme.
You can’t buy the anointing of the Spirit; there is no price that can be placed on it. Those who have this thing, can lose sight of their intended purpose; it can lead to self-destruction and abuse of power. But I feel I need to relay a message to someone; unless that person blasphemes against the Holy Ghost, they can repent. It is an unpleasant reality to some, that when this person makes things right with God, that anointing remains intact.
I know that will cross some doctrinal lines with some; but whether men want to believe the scriptures or not, the gifts and calling of God, are not revocable. Any time that person, lifts their hearts to Him, the anointing begins to flow.
That’s what drives envious people over the edge; they think it’s not fair, that this person should have it, and they weren’t given it. If we want to go back on God and live as wicked and evil as we can, we won’t be anointed of the Spirit; we can be eternally lost. But there is a mark on that person, and the enemy cannot do with them as he wishes. God has set certain boundaries in His Word and in the realm of the Spirit.
Know this, that the drawing of the spirit of the Lord, is a mighty power; and He always knows, them that are His. He will bring about His purpose, no matter what any man thinks about it. God has chosen vessels; sometimes they just need oil.
What are we Focusing on?
There’s a lot of talk going on; so many of us are enjoying expressing our thoughts and opinions. And that’s good. We have a medium here that we never had before; one that allows each of us to discuss things, we were never allowed to talk about before. It has been a wonderful outlet for exchanging information and sharing parts of our own journey. We’ve learned a lot of things. We have seen and heard plenty.
Much has to do, with the time we are living in; we’re seeing many things coming to pass; even as we speak. The things that were foretold, about these days, and even things about those who say they are in the body of Christ, have become a reality. All one must do, is look around them, and it is undeniably, the last days. The signs are everywhere; it is all unfolding, just as it was written; both the good, and the bad. Information has actually increased, to a point so far beyond, what any of us could have imagined. At the blink of an eye, it’s on camera, recorded, and sent all over the world.
If the things that I am writing or speaking, call more attention to myself than to Jesus Christ or the Holy Spirit of God, I am loving myself, the most. This, is the message I believe the Lord would have us focus on for this post. It is going to be a real challenge in these days, to discern, what we see and what we hear. Most of us know to look out for the work of the enemy; we often feel we can sense when something evil is afoot. What can be much more difficult to know, is when the enemy is working through someone’s flesh. Self, can do a great deal of harm, to the cause of Christ. It truly can.
Would it be in order, to say, that the Holy Spirit, is not crude? He doesn’t need to speak in a sensual or earthy kind of manner. At times, I like to use the word “I” to make things more personal. I find that it is often more useful at times, to say “we,” instead of you. But, the Holy Spirit will put a check in our spirit if we are sincerely trying to follow Him; if, we get off into self too much.
The secret, is to stay constantly alert, for that check. Why is this all so important. We’re living in a different time frame; we’ve never been here.
Some folk might not have learned, that self, still sounds like self. It has a bit of phony ring to it; it’s a flat and even gruff kind of sound; it just doesn’t sound like the way the Holy Ghost would say something. If we want to be a part of what God has in mind for this final hour, we must stay spiritually alert, at all times. We must do what the Apostle wrote; to pray without ceasing; even more than ever before. The powers of darkness, want to undermine what the Spirit is seeking to do for us; he’ll use anything and anyone he can, for his purpose.
Greater is He, that is in you, than he, that is in the world. If, we stay full, of the One who is greater. Let God, speak!
I have been reading your post for weeks now as a means for encouragement.
This word in particular resonated with me to the core, I couldn’t get through it without breaking down into tears.
I just wanted to say thank you for your obedience and faithful servitude for the lord.
I know this word was for me and many others destined to see it.
I have been lost and I’m finding my way back, please pray for me. Thank you brother.
