Leave the Old You Buried in the Past
“Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.” Romans 6:6.
“It is time to shed the old man,” says The LORD.
“It is time to let go of the past.
It is time to leave all those troubles behind you.
For many of My People are chained and imprisoned by things in the past.
Many of these things have prevented you from moving forward.”
I was shown an old man whose head was lowered. I t appeared to me like he was on a cross, and was bent over, and stretched upon the cross.
“That is not who you are now. Those are memories. Those are things that you remember.
You have to cut your ties with them. Those represent the old man; and that old man has been nailed to The Cross.
You need to have the old man crucified.
That is no longer who you are now.
Indeed, there are good memories; but let those memories stay where they are supposed be.
Some of them are as deep as a cavern; but now you are a new creature in Me.
But the old you is not alive. Seal it shut, as in a coffin. “
