Jesus didn’t just come to set us free, he came to make us free! When we understand the power of His cross, then we will begin to walk in the full benefit of His sacrifice.

I have heard people often quote that: “The anointing breaks the yoke.” hmm mm…. Well, that’s a fact but not truth! The anointing does not just break the yoke, but ‘destroys‘ the yoke! The anointing is a yoke destroyer!

You see, under the Old Testament, the anointing comes upon people and every time that happens, yokes often get’s destroyed! They had to wait for that moment when the anointing comes and if that moment doesn’t come, the people will have to endure the pain of their yokes.

There is a whole lot of difference between the New Testament believers and the old testament believers…. There was never a prophet of god under the old covenant who received the blessing of the in – dwelling spirit but we do and it is the Holy Sspirit who anoints God’s people.

Now, when the Holy Spirit dwells within the believer, He turns him into the anointed! Now he (the believer) needs not wait for the anointing to come upon him, because the anointing is already in him!

“But ye have an unction from the Holy One, (not shall receive) and ye know all things….. But the anointing which ye have received of him (not shall reveive) abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him,” 1 John 2:20,27.

The scripture didn’t say, “You shall receive.” it says, “You have!”

Now get this clear, under the Old Testament, yokes are allowed to stay on the people till the anointing comes. But in the new covenant, this is not supposed to be!

Every man is a function of his understanding.

No yoke is ever permitted to remain on the believer who has received the empowerment of the Holy Spirit at the spirit’s baptism! Yokes are not included herein. Therefore, the application under the New Testament is different from the old testament application. For those empowered of the Holy Spirit, it is like this…..

When the yokes are coming on your shoulder, it naturally supposed to be destroyed each time, anytime and every time it comes because they anointing that destroys the yoke resides in you!

The anointing does not come from above this time, it comes from within! You have an anointing… It is in you!

Jesus said it this way,

“But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life,” John 4:14.

The problem with the present day Church is the same as was with those in John 5 at the pool of Bethesda. They were waiting for the angel to move the water’s.

If they only knew. Their ignorance kept them sick and restricted. All they needed was to know that the angel didn’t come with healing from heaven. What healed them was with them all along ‘in the pool.’

All the angel did was to go down into the pool and stir the waters. Had somebody closely observed, they would have entered into the pool and keep stirring the waters so the healing balm saturates and all of them would have been healed!

Oh that we know and know indeed that we have the anointing within us, every yoke would have been destroyed!

It hurts my heart to see the Church been so word deficient and as a result suffer from spiritual kwashiokor!

Let’s bring back the Word of God into the House of God!
