Keep Yourself In The Love of God
Betrayed by the most trusted, abandoned by the best dependable, hard-pressed on every side, persecuted often, perplexed at times, struck down but up again and running stronger and faster (2 Corinthians 4:8,9), there is only One Place to keep oneself for comfort: in The Love of God.
Yes, when hounded by hostile persons and situations, keep yourself in The Love of God.
In whatever situation, woeful or wonderful, to live well in this life you have to keep yourself in The Love of God.
It is in The Love of God that we are out of weakness made strong, become valiant in battle, and obtain promises.
The Holy Spirit has been ministering to me the comforting refuge of The Love of God for sometime now. And I have variously touched on this in previous Words.
We can only stand and keep moving forward by being rooted and grounded in Love — The Love of God in Christ Jesus our LORD. The Love of Christ Which passes knowledge.
This is how we are perfected in Love. For Perfect Love (unflinching faith and satisfaction in God’s Love with endless thankfulness) casts out fear. Because there is no fear in Love, (1 John 4:18).
Faith in The Love of God was The Divine Fuel and Food which energised Paul to run and finish his race, in spite of the worst sufferings, trials and tribulations a Christian has ever experienced.
He got the revelation and was persuaded for the rest of his life.
“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from The Love of God which is in Christ Jesus our LORD,” Romans 8:37-39.
When you are confident in God’s Love for you, nothing can make you fear or be anxious. Because He will SURELY come through for you — just hold fast to Him in faith. He will come through for you because of His unfailing, amazing Love for you.
In the mission field, the enemy even arranged various groups of young men with hunting rifles against me at various times (trespassing on The LORD’s ministry property, jumping over the wire security fence into the yard).
All alone in the two acre property and facing guns, I resisted and drove them out each time with The Wisdom and Protection of The LORD of hosts.
( The main and most recalcitrant group came after a death symbol of skull and bones was fastened in the fence for my attention. I discovered it on Halloween! — although they know nothing about the deathly day of sorcery here. Thus, they were inspired by the devil as a conduit of death against me. But THE LORD delivered me, and continues to deliver and preserve me.
The first time, when asking them to leave the property, the most aggressive and insolent one among them, a Muslim, threateningly said to me: “You can see that I’m holding a gun?”
And the devil flashed an image of me being shot in the chest. I cancelled it immediately.
When trying to preach The Salvation of Jesus Christ to them following their latest trespassing, his companions were listening, but HE launched a very aggressive verbal attack on me, and finally said to me: “You are a bad prophet!” And then he huffed off drawing his colleagues with him away from The Bread from Heaven I was offering them. )
Meditating on The Love of God, keeping in The Love of God is faith and joy-releasing, protecting always.
A most confidence-building Scripture is
“that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height — to know The Love of Christ Which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all The Fullness of God,” Ephesians 3:17-19.
And then Brother Jude says: “keep yourselves in The Love of God, looking for The Mercy of our LORD Jesus Christ unto Eternal Life.” (Jude 1:21).
How do you keep yourself in The Love of God?
It says so in the preceding verse: by “building yourselves up on your most Holy Faith, praying in The Holy Spirit,” (Jude 1:20).
Faith in The Love of God and praying in The Holy Spirit keeps us there. Get in there and don’t ever come out.
The amazing thing is that, in the midst of all the trials and tribulations, there has been this overwhelming joy. What is this joy, LORD? I asked with joy the other day.
Ah! It is The Joy of Faith! (Philippians 1:25). I answered myself by The Spirit of The LORD.
Isn’t it ENDLESSLY amazing and joyful to believe and know that The Father is MY Father? MY Father is The Father? God IS MY Father? MY Father is God?
The ALMIGHTY, The Creator and Owner of All Things is MY Father, and I am His Heir!
What treasure!
Look up at the night sky. Think about the unknown trillions of galaxies and the glorious bodies in them declaring God’s Glory.
( One galaxy contains billions of planets and stars — many bigger than the earth. Some galaxies are estimated to have 200 billion, 400 billion, etc. Scientists don’t know for sure. But there are CERTAINLY more than can be estimated by man.
Because what God does is always exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ever ask or think.
Because, “…as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him,” 1 Corinthians 2:9. )
Consider the innumerable species of plants, fishes/ the abundance of living creatures in the sea, birds and animals. Amazing are all the various fruits and vegetables and their countless varieties in every continent and country on earth.
What shall I say about the unlimited plenty and variety of foodstuff and foods around the world?
If there is this unlimited plenty and variety in this fallen world, what will it be in Heaven when we are home with our Father?
This is HIM Who LOVES us!
Please keep yourself in The Love of God and enjoy the fullness of joy in The Presence of The LORD.
As I said above, when you are confident in God’s Love for you, nothing can make you fear or be anxious:
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and Eternal Weight of Glory,” 2 Corinthians 4:17.
As a confirmation of this wonderful revelation to keep in The Love of God, the lovely video below was displayed to me by YouTube.
My beloved brethren, fear not. Let us always keep ourselves in The Love of our Father.
“The LORD Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.” 2 Timothy 4:22.
“Farewell” Acts 15:29.
~ Jacob Awagah
Jacob, an apostle of Jesus Christ by The Will of God, according to The Promise of Life which is in Christ Jesus, (2 Timothy 1:1).
As John was, Jacob is the disciple whom JESUS loves, (John 13:23;19:26; 20:2; 21:7,20). And like Paul, Jacob is “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:1) for His Purpose forever: to obey Him always.
“And having been perfected, He became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.
Thanks Jacob for sharing this. I praise God for your Faithfulness and Love! All of us, His People, must have The Faith that works through His Agape, Galatians 5:6. That’s The Faith that will reach and heal,(body, soul, and spirit), the lost. Praying for you, and your antagonists.
