Keep your eyes on Jesus!
Keep your eyes on the Jesus! Not on your circumstances!
Life’s challenges and circumstances have a way of coming into our lives and forcing us to refocus our attention and our priorities. Sometimes, they can get detrimental and we have to back up and see what is really going on.
God will use the circumstances and the trials to get our attention and to focus on him! Just like in the life of Job, he experienced one problem and one heartache right after the other and it got worse and worse. And sometimes it happens to us the same way. Before we can get over one situation, another one comes up for us to deal with.
In all of this, we have to continue to keep our focus on the Lord. I know all of the time, this is easier said than done. Especially when you are not the one going through the hardships. But for those of us who have been through some dire situations, we can testify to others that god will come in and turn the situation around for you!
Circumstances can come, and they can overtake us. We feel as if we are drowning by the towering waves of hardships they bring with them. For example, take a look at Peter when Jesus told him to get out of the boat and to walk to him on the water. As long as Peter kept his eyes on the Jesus, he had faith and walked on the water. But as soon as he saw the high wind and the high waves come toward him, he took his eyes off the Lord and put his focus on the situation headed in his direction.
Peter cried out to the Lord, Lord save me! And Jesus reached down and pulled Peter from the water. This is a lesson for us to learn, that no matter what comes our way, as long as we look to Jesus, as long as we keep our eyes on the Lord and not on our circumstances, we can continue to walk above our circumstances.
We can then stay on top of our problems and not our problems on top of us! The lord is there for us at all times. No matter how gigantic or how big the problem may be, our god is awesome with all power.
And there is nothing impossible to hard for God. Whatever you are going through today, keep your faith and focus on Jesus and not on your circumstances… nothing is impossible to those who believe and have the faith to know that god can do all things!!!
“I will lift mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help, all of my help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth”! Psalms 121:1.
