Just where is Jesus?
My heart has been pondering and meditating on the Cross of my Lord Jesus Christ lately!
How I wish we had more sermons on the Cross than we do about ourselves. How I wish we know that ministry is not showbiz, but all about Him!
As I walk the streets, I see all sorts of poster’s with all what-not themes and topics, but scarcely have I seen any that even mentions His name.
It is sad to say, but the truth is, we are gradually putting His name off our handbills and posters.
My heart bleeds sore when I see Jesus not revered anymore. It makes me ask, where is Jesus in our hearts and sermons?
Just where is Jesus?
Have we turned Him into an outdated relic we carved somewhere called nowhere, outside?
I see those who ought to hold Him dear, make merchandise of what we call His House. I weep…
“Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people! Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging place of wayfaring men; that I might leave my people, and go from them! For they be all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous men,” Jeremiah 9:1-2.
Like the Apostle Paul, I say, “I am not ashamed of the cross, for it is the power of God unto salvation.”
The message of the Cross is still the message of the ministry, and nothing else!
