Just Know When Too Much is Too Much
Just know when too much is too much — Keep it Balanced
Good morning.
We must keep a healthy balance and boundaries with all who we come in contact with in life. When does a relationship get unhealthy?
It has taken me a lifetime to learn spiritual truths and apply them. I am sooo… far from perfect and am still in the process of learning. If I’m not honest with you all as I write, it won’t help one single person out there.
We are all as Christians on that potter’s wheel, being molded in His image. As long as we are ‘pliable clay,’ the end results will come out right by the grace of God.
Here’s a song I just found this morning.
The balance I was speaking of needs to be with both natural and spiritual children. Even natural and spiritual mothers and fathers of the faith, would be in this same category.
Just know this also includes every kind of a relationship we have! We always need a healthy balance and boundaries on both ends.
We need to nurture in The LORD, of course. Still we need to let both our natural and spiritual children grow up in The LORD.
At the risk of saying too much, there is an example that I can personally give. To start with, I was involved over several years on Social Networks, blogs and intercessors sites. I often had my own page on some of these Christian websites.
A friend of mine (we will just call ‘Gloria’) had a beautiful Christian website. Among many, she mentored a precious lady who corresponded with all of us on this website.
‘Gloria’ called her ‘Little Lamb.’ This young person was a believer whose life had just got really messed up. She would often demand far too much from ‘Gloria’ than she or anyone could possibly ever give.
‘Little Lamb’, I will just say, was from a persecuted country, and she was already enduring many trials just to live in that Muslim country.
Because I corresponded privately too with ‘Little lamb,’ she got way too attached to me, also. There was a mountain of hurt and trust issues she had, so we both were trying to minister to her. The needs could just never all be met!
Jesus is the Only One who is inexhaustible and never too busy! He has all the answers!
No one person can ever meet all our needs. Only Jesus can!
Getting back, when ‘Little Lamb’ couldn’t get all the attention from ‘Gloria’, she started pulling at me more and more. It got to be too much.
I couldn’t inbox or email her night and day. Never was I unkind, but I had to correct her, in love, as I saw there were some serious mental issues too.
She never would stop. Finally she sent me a picture (she said) of her ‘slit wrists’ when she felt I failed her!
This tore me up, to say the least. They were very bloody pictures. Did she really cut on her wrists? I’m not sure, but I believe so.
Still she continued on and on demanding instant attention. She would not accept a balance of my time and attention but even wanted me to be her real ‘biological’ mother. I tried to keep in contact but through the years now don’t even know if she is alive?
Spiritual children are who we instruct in The LORD as a mother or father figure . We can not let it get unbalanced and unhealthy, or we will all go down!
We have to ultimately put everyone in the hands of The LORD . Love them, pray for them and let God do the work. We pray, we may even guide if they will receive.
Still we must realize only Jesus can satisfy their soul and feed that hunger inside each heart.
“These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.” 1 John 2:26-27.
“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some,
pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,” Ephesians 4:11-12.
“Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 11:1.
We must keep our focus on Jesus Christ and not on a person. Still we follow them only as they follow Christ.
People will fail us, God sure won’t!
God bless you all.

Please help me pray that if God’s Will, I can get a Webpage built again as ‘Rock of Ages Outreach Ministries.’
At one time I had my own webpage. I am trying to get a website up again, but having a lot of difficulties. Thank you.

If there is resources needed I pray she be adequately supplied and that you give her ideas on how it is to look and thank you Lord for helping leading and guiding her. I ask this in the precious name of Jesus and thankyou for answering our prayers!
