Judgement & Mercy ~ Some Things to Ponder
“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee,” Isaiah 43:2.
I’ve considered and pondered some things lately, especially in light of the recent tragic event that has taken place in Houston, Texas with the hurricane and intense flooding.
I do believe as do others, that judgment is being poured out upon our nation, and in spite of what many think, our prayers will not hold back God’s almighty hand, because the process is now irreversible.
In saying this, many lives are tragically lost as these horrific storms and other catastrophic events unfold across our nation and world.
While I know that we serve a loving God, He is also One who is imbued with judgment and wisdom. The stench of sin has reached an all-time high, in some ways perhaps even paralleling Sodom and Gomorrah, and we know what their fate was.
And yet I realize that many of the messages that I have sent out as have others, speak to the protection and guidance for those who are His own; who trust in Him above all else.
For even as many will eventually leave the cities in search of protection and comfort in the wilderness, still many others will lose their lives in the tragic events that follow. And many of those who lose their lives will be believers and non-believers alike.
One then some would ask, “If then we put our faith and trust in Him, then why would we lose our lives in the darkness that is coming?”
We know that the rain falls on the just and the unjust and much of the suffering if not all of it, comes because we live in a fallen world. Yes, we are told that God will surround us with a hedge of protection.
Yes we know that He is our rock and high tower and that we can run to Him when the water rises and fire is all around us. We know of the three men who were cast into the fiery furnace and how not even a hair was singed upon them:
“And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.
He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God,” Daniel 3:23-24.
There are so many biblical accounts of how men and women were rescued from fire, plague, storms, and even death. But God’s wisdom runs deeper than what we can even begin to imagine.
While He controls the storms, both natural and spiritual in this world, the enemy is also at work. But even the enemy himself had to come before the throne of God to plead his case about Job, and as we know, God allowed the suffering that came by the hand of Lucifer for the good of Job.
These are unanswered questions, and yet many of us still ponder them. I guess the main and only security we can find in the midst of the many tragic events that plague our world, is that God is indeed, in control.
Some will continue to wonder at the purpose of God’s wrath and judgment that is wrought through His Almighty hand. To be sure, we are all like wayward children, and sheep that are led to the slaughter.
But we are also much more than that. We are priests and kings and a royal priesthood of believers who serve Him, even at the cost of our own lives and misgivings.
And so as many have passed through the waters, and they have overflowed and risen in destruction. But even so, God is surely with those who have lost so much.
The waters will eventually be stilled. The fires will come, the winds will blow, and the earthquakes will shake the very land. And yet, even if the mountains roll into the sea, yet even then will I trust in Him.
The Judgment Will Come and It Will Be Swift
“But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand,” Ezekiel 33:6.
“Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits,” Isaiah 30:10.
“So many of you think that the recent hurricane is just one of many hurricanes that have come upon the land.
I tell you that it is a sign; it is a sign of My impending judgment upon the land.”
And yet, why would a loving God bring judgment upon the land, many of you would say?
“I tell you that many such things are coming. For the coasts will suffer a great tsunami.
It will come and it will wipe over the entire state of California. Beautiful homes and businesses will be lost in the deluge. It will flow over the great Golden Gate bridge.
Woe to the people who mock My Name.
Woe to the leaders of the land who pass unjust laws.
Woe to those who return evil for evil. For you have been judged oh land. You are the great whore of Babylon.
You sit near the ocean. Your great city of New York will fall to the ground. The great tall buildings will fall in a minute.
Woe to you Las Vegas – for your great shining glitter will become an ash heap. Your gambling and slot machines will be turned upside down. No more will people come and flock to see your shows and entertainment.
You have been weighed in the balance. You will fall to the ground. But out of the ashes a new breed of people will come. They will be shining lights to a people who have walked in darkness.
These things are coming my people. The judgment will come and it will be swift. And each event will cause a series of dominoes to fall. It will never be the same, My people. I will not hold these things back.
And then that great rift will split your land in half. The great river will overflow its banks for miles, and the Great Lakes will overflow their banks.
Your land will be changed for evermore; and then perhaps you will begin to reverence Me in truth.”
Amen, and so it shall come.
Selah,

Stephen Hanson of In His Truth Ministries came to the LORD is a special way in 1975 and has prophesied regularly since. In these end-time birthing pangs we are reminded that judgment must first begin with the household of God. Will we be prepared and ready?
Only if my people who are called by my name would repent , I would hear from raven and heal them and thier land

AMEN, Lord God. You are patient and just. No one in their right mind will be able to blame You for bringing destruction on this wicked country.
