Joyful, Joyful We Adore You!
Heaven and Earth proclaim His Wonderful Name!
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” Luke 2:14
Good morning. I hope you will like this song today that I chose.
Some may debate whether to even celebrate Christmas or not.
Then some debate when to celebrate Christmas.
Then there are those of us which just use this opportunity regardless to show the love of Jesus to our loves ones.
The scriptures I always have read at my house on December 25, are in Luke chapter 2.
It brings me back to one of my children as a small child.
We would all gather and have family altar.
Faith always wanting me to read to her the same at night for like 2 years.
She would always untiringly say, “Read me about baby Jesus, Mama.”
Moving on: We do know Jesus was born of a virgin named Mary.
He lived and dwelt in the flesh among mankind.
He was without sin but tempted in all points.
Truly Jesus was both the Son of God and God!
He was rejected and despised by men.
He died on a cruel cross, but was raised from the dead 3 days later by God.
“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.” Romans 8:11-13
Jesus shed every drop of His holy blood for all who will receive Him.
Jesus is not willing that any of us should perish but that all should come to repentance.
“The LORD is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9
Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year to all.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth.” John 1:14
“I and my Father are one.” John 10:30
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
“And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.” John 20:28
“Jesus said unto them, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.”” John 8:58
