Jesus Was Powerful Even in His Death
Dear sisters and brothers, I come to you today in awe of our God and Savior.
I woke up today with a powerful vision. Our Father showed me Jesus on the Cross from the waist up. I did not see His face, but the top of His head which was bowed down.
Although the Bible said He was marred so badly that we could not recognize Him in the natural, still He was beautiful, strong and powerful. The sky was dark with storm clouds all around. I felt tremendous POWER emanating from our Savior. I heard these words in my spirit, “Jesus was powerful even in His death.”
The atmosphere around Jesus was crackling with electricity. God’s power was so strong that I can still feel it in my body. No wonder the Roman centurion said, surely, this is the Son of God.
Oh sisters and brothers, how many times have we been shown pictures of Jesus on the Cross, weak and powerless. Beloved, we need to know that even in His death, Jesus, Yeshua, was still God.
He LAID DOWN His life voluntarily, or it could not have happened. Jesus was in control the entire time He walked upon the earth, from His birth unto His death and Resurrection. No one took His life, He gave it freely.
It was planned from the foundations of the earth. Our Father wants His beloved children to know this.
In this vision, the image of a large powerful eagle was seen also, superimposed over the Cross. In Ezekiel, the four living creatures around the Throne of God had four faces, lion, ox, man and one was of an eagle, positioned in the back.
It is a secret, a mystery, hidden to the world. But it is not hidden to us, Beloved. The 4 gospels symbolize these four faces also, the Face of our Lord Jesus Christ. In the gospel of John, we see Jesus as the Son of God, symbolized as an eagle.
So know when the Bible talks about rising on wings as eagles, you are being lifted up by the Holy Spirit POWER of God, by the Blood of the Lamb you have been saved. That very same power that raised Jesus from the dead, dwells in YOU, Beloved. He gives you strength to endure, keen vision to see, and authority over ALL the power of the enemy.
So be encouraged today. Jesus’ Arms which were stretched out for you at the Cross, are the Wings that shall carry you through this life.
The four faces of Jesus:
- In Matthew we see the Messiah-King (the lion).
- In Mark we see Yahweh’s Servant (the ox).
- In Luke we see the Son of Man (the man).
- In John we see the Son of God (the eagle).
This fourth face, the face of an eagle, in Ezekiel’s vision, is mentioned last and hidden in the back. In a sense the eagle’s face is a secret, a mystery to those around us. This was Paul’s secret of sufficiency in Philippians 4:11-12.
Perhaps few people know how we can overcome so many earthly frustrations. But the buoyancy and transcendence is not of ourselves; it is sourced in the hidden divine life within us, the Holy Spirit.
Jesus was not suppressed by either persecution or praise. After He fed the great crowd in John 6, He immediately withdrew to a mountain alone when the people sought to exalt Him and make Him King. This was a manifestation of the face of an eagle, soaring above both tribulations and triumphs.
Eagle: heavenliness, mystery, divinity, prophetic, keen vision, strength, hope, salvation
The Spirit of prophecy IS the testimony of Jesus. ALL prophecy should point us to Jesus, or it is not prophecy.
“And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy,” Revelation 19:10.
Bible Verses:
“But for you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness WILL RISE with healing in HIS WINGS; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall. “You will tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day which I am preparing,” says the LORD of hosts,” Micah 4:2-3.“EAnd from the midst of it there came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: They had the likeness of a man. And every one had four faces. As for the likeness of their faces, they had the face of a man; and the four of them had the face of a lion on the right side, and the four of them had the face of an ox on the left side, and the four of them had the face of an eagle,” Ezekiel 1:5-6.
“As an eagle stirs up her nest, flutters over her young, spreads abroad her wings, takes them, bears them on her wings: So the Lord alone did lead him,” Deuteronomy 32:11-12.
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint,” Isaiah 40:31.
“Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, “Ye both know Me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of Myself, but He that sent Me is true, whom ye know not. But I know Him: for I am from Him, and He has sent Me. Then they sought to take Him: but no man laid hands on Him, because His hour was not yet come. And many of the people believed on Him, and said, When Christ comes, will he do more miracles than these which this Man hath done?
The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning Jesus; and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take Him. Then said Jesus unto them, “Yet a little while am I with you, and THEN I go unto Him that sent Me.” John 7:28-33.
“When the centurion standing there in front of Jesus saw how He had breathed His last, he said, “Truly this man was the Son of God!” Mark 15:39.
