JESUS Was Bound For Us To Be Set Free!
The Originator of Life Died For Us To Live
Early in the morning over two thousand years ago today, The King Eternal, The King of Glory, The LORD of Glory, The Blessed And Only Sovereign, was bound and bundled off like a sacrificial lamb to Pontius Pilate by Caiaphas who was the high priest that year. (John 18:12, 24).
For He is The Lamb of GOD Who takes away the sin of the world! (John 1:29).
The night before the morning, one of the high priest’s officers slapped THE LORD JESUS CHRIST The Eternal High Priest, The High Priest over The House of GOD, for answering Caiaphas with The Truth!
Repeatedly, they sought false testimonies against JESUS but found none.
Eventually, two false witnesses came forward and said, “This fellow said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God and to build it in three days.’ ” (Matthew 26:59-67).
He was also falsely accused of blasphemy for saying Who He is: THE SON OF GOD!
For the rest of the time, they beat Him, they scourged Him with blows that cut in — that tore His Flesh, they plucked His Beard, they spat on Him and in His Face and beat Him, they blindfolded Him and struck Him with the palms of their hands, saying, “Prophesy to us, CHRIST! Who is the one who struck You?” (Matthew 26:68, Luke 22:64)
Many things they spoke blasphemously against Him.
Then the soldiers of the governor stripped him, they twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His Head, and a reed in His Right Hand, making mockery of His Divine Royalty!
And then, as Luke reported, Herod, with his men of war, treated Him with contempt and mocked Him, arrayed Him in a gorgeous robe, and sent Him back to Pilate.
That very day Pilate and Herod became friends with each other, for previously they had been at enmity with each other.
All mocked Him exceedingly.
Having been through all that highest and mercilessly relentless sufferings from the night before when He was arrested, He must have been very hungry and thirsty. (The last time He ate or drunk anything was at The Last Supper hours before He was arrested).
Yet they gave Him sour wine mingled with gall to drink. But when He had tasted it, He would not drink. And then they crucified Him.
Even on THE CROSS, they kept mocking Him and speaking blasphemy against Him.
The Everlasting GOD?! THE LORD?! The Creator of all things?! The Owner of all things?! The Upholder of all things?! The Controller of all things?! The One in Whom all things consist?!
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His Stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5.
“Stand fast therefore in The Liberty by which CHRIST has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” Galatians 5:1.
As Paul and Silas were set free from prison by The Power of GOD, so I pray you are SET FREE from every prison, every bondage by The Power of GOD in JESUS’ NAME!
As Peter was delivered from prison and death sentence by the angel, so may THE LORD send you angelic assistance to rescue you SWIFTLY from every prison, from every area of your life experiencing death! Amen!
“For The Law of THE SPIRIT OF LIFE in CHRIST JESUS has made [you] free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:2.
JESUS died for us to have life and have it more abundantly. So be it in His Name! Amen.
“The LORD Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.” 2 Timothy 4:22.
“Farewell” Acts 15:29.
~ Jacob Awagah
Jacob, an apostle of Jesus Christ by The Will of God, according to The Promise of Life which is in Christ Jesus, (2 Timothy 1:1).
As John was, Jacob is the disciple whom JESUS loves, (John 13:23;19:26; 20:2; 21:7,20). And like Paul, Jacob is “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:1) for His Purpose forever: to obey Him always.
“And having been perfected, He became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.
