Jesus Only Lived in Response to His Father
It is vitally important to be led by the Spirit and not the flesh around you.
When the enemy came to Jesus to question His identity, Jesus only responded to the enemy, the accuser, with the Word, for He only spoke and did the things He had heard and was hearing and seeing of his Father! “IT IS WRITTEN!”
The Word of God is the final authority!
When dealing with the enemy, the accuser know that the Holy Spirit will give you words of wisdom that your accusers cannot gainsay nor resist!
Jesus did not jump through the devil’s hoops of “If thou be the son of God, do this to prove that.” He only obeyed His Father, simply because He had nothing to prove to the enemy.
He knew who He was. Likewise neither do we have anything to prove!
Once you know who you are in Christ and whose you are, and once you know you are not here to gain the applause or glory or honor of men but, to do the will of your Father and please him only, then and only then, can God really use you!
This is a part of the process and testing that everyone who is to be used of God, must go through.
Too many are trying to go around the process, rather than being led through the process.
Some think they have already arrived when in reality, they have much, much more to go through, in order to completely die out to the flesh.
We are all in the process at some level and many are coming to the completion of it.
You will only come through it as you are led by his Spirit. Jesus is the only way!
Indeed we all must get self out of the way. The trying to gain applause and justification of men must get out of the way, in order to do the will of your Father in heaven!
For this is a huge part of dying to the flesh. You are not defined or justified by any flesh around you, only the shed blood of Christ and your faith in Him alone can and will bring you through to completion as you are led by His Spirit.
Jesus was led by the Spirit only, not his flesh, nor the flesh around him, and certainly not the devil!
A revelation many have not received yet, or have failed the test, simply because they love the praises of men, more than the praises of God!
Continue on in your process, knowing that you are dying daily and you are going from glory to glory and do not allow the enemy to define you.
You are the righteousness of God through and by the shed blood of Christ Jesus and sealed with the Holy Spirit, and even as you have received His Spirit and it is abiding within you and are led of Him, He will lead and guide you into all truth down the path of righteousness that He has designed for you, where He alone will get the praise and the glory and honor.
“And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful,” Revelation 21:5.
“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come,” John 16:13.
“For if ye are led by the Spirit you are the sons of God,” Romans 8:14.
“Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, and saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; and saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.” Matthew 4:1-11.
“For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God,” John 12:43.
“How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?” John 5:44.
