In all things that pertain to life and GODliness, JESUS must be preferred and of Preeminence above all.

As John the Baptist said, “He…is preferred before me, for He was before me.” And Paul added, “that in all things He [should] have The Preeminence.”

“John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of Whom I said, ‘He Who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ ” ” John 1:15.

“He is The Image of The Invisible GOD, The Firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in Heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is The Head of The Body, The Church, Who is The Beginning, The Firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have The Preeminence.” Colossians 1:15-18.

Anything preferred and made priority before JESUS, is idolatry, which thing GOD hates and forbids in His WORD.

Idolatry of family (children, husband, wife, etc.), work, career, business, ministry, and so on, is an increasing deception by Satan.

The size and prominence of a believer’s Eternal Inheritance depend on the extent of The Preeminence JESUS is to him in his obedience of, and fellowship with Him in this life.

THE LORD addressed this important understanding expressly in the matter of Martha and Mary.

“Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at JESUS’ Feet and heard His WORD. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “LORD, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.” And JESUS answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”” Luke 10:38-42.

Too many of the children of GOD are distracted with much serving, worried and troubled about many things like Martha — in matters of family, career, business, ministry, finances, etc. instead of hearing JESUS and doing His Will and His Plans for their lives.

Only one thing is needed in this life: To know JESUS and do His Pleasure — be at His Feet every moment of your breath by hearing Him and doing what He says.

Please know this: if you are distracted with much serving (engagements not led by THE HOLY SPIRIT), worried and troubled about many things, then you are not doing The Will of GOD and His Plans for you.

The exhortation is this: Always welcome JESUS into your house (all things) like Martha, stay with Him like Mary. Always hear and obey His Voice.

In all your thoughts and thinking, speech and speaking, deeds and doing, let JESUS be in The Centre!

Early this year, during a very important phone discussion with a very SPIRIT-filled and close family member, I said to the person that I needed to speak to THE LORD and revert the next day on a matter.

The person’s response? “Leave JESUS out of this!”

What! Leave JESUS out of this? A SPIRIT-filled child of GOD saying to leave Him out of a decision?

I was shocked but not surprised. Peter, THE LORD’s no.1 apostle was likewise deceived by Satan, and, in an instant, his mind produced demonic thinking instead of Divine Thinking.

Personally, if it is not what JESUS says (by His WORD and SPIRIT), I won’t do it. No matter who’s speaking.

““From that time JESUS began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised The Third Day. Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, LORD; this shall not happen to You!” But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of The Things of GOD, but the things of men.”” Matthew 16:21-23.

It’s a trap Satan lays daily in our lives: to choose human wisdom instead of Divine Wisdom. To choose worldly things instead of GODly Things.

Human wisdom is earthly, sensual and demonic, (James 3:14-16). When Adam and Eve chose it, they lost The Glory and their lives became filled with the grind and troubles of this world.

Human wisdom is trouble wisdom.

Don’t you see how troubled the world is? It’s because mankind uses human wisdom (earthly, sensual and demonic wisdom), instead of The Wisdom of GOD.

Whenever you use Divine Wisdom — The Wisdom From Above (James 3:17), you are instantly restored to The Glory Adam and Eve lost. Even greater.

“But we speak The Wisdom of GOD in a mystery, The Hidden Wisdom which GOD ordained before the ages for our Glory,” 1 Corinthians 2:7.

Whenever you use The Wisdom From Above, your life will be “first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of Mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.” (James 3:17).

When you have JESUS in The Centre, when He is preferred and of Preeminence in your life, you’ll have His Peace even in the midst of turmoil. Your heart will not be troubled. You will not be worried and troubled about many things like Martha.

If you make JESUS your Always-Dependent-on and Always-with Person, He will keep you in Perfect Peace. He will calm EVERY storm for you. There is nothing too difficult for Him.

As He did for Moses, He will put you in The Cleft of THE ROCK and cover you with His Hand from destruction, (Exodus 33:20-23).

“You will keep him in Perfect Peace, whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. Trust in THE LORD forever, For in YAH, THE LORD, is Everlasting Strength.” Isaiah 26:3-4.

“Trust in THE LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear THE LORD and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.” Proverbs 3:5-8.

“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what The Will of THE LORD is.” Ephesians 5:15-17.

The only Thing that TRUELY succeeds in this life, is The Wisdom of GOD.

Yet some people think that The Wisdom of GOD is confined to religious things, not practical things.

Some years ago, a friend brought his friends (whom I was meeting for the first time), and there was a discussion about some business venture he was considering.

I must have said to him to seek THE LORD for His Wisdom to know what to do.

One of his friends retorted: “We are talking about practical things.”

Immediately, THE HOLY SPIRIT gave me an idea as a solution for my friend’s situation. And I responded and shared It with them all, saying: “That’s practical; and I got It from JESUS.”

They all laughed approvingly about The Wisdom and wit uttered, except the man who had made the initial comment. He was silenced and palpably ashamed.

We must be like Stephen: “And they were not able to resist The Wisdom and THE SPIRIT by Which he spoke,” (Acts 6:10).

Somehow, people think JESUS is abstract. Not practical.

But every good and perfect thing in this world originated from Him, (James 1:17). He gave and gives ALL Wisdom to all men to do things for our comfort and convenience.

Automobile wisdom, aviation wisdom, engineering wisdom, building wisdom, furniture wisdom, cookery wisdom, schooling/ education wisdom, agriculture wisdom, banking wisdom, telecommunication wisdom, computer technology wisdom, and so on, are all from JESUS — “in Whom are hidden all The Treasures of Wisdom and Knowledge.” (Colossians 2:3).

The only thing is that, a lot of The Wisdom from Him to mankind has been corrupted by men under the influence of demons, and used to do evil.

Even the wisdom Satan uses to do all the evil in the world, was given to him by JESUS, (Ezekiel 28:17). It was Divine Wisdom which he has now made demonic.

Just as Michael, Gabriel, and other holy angels have and use The Wisdom GOD gave to them, so Lucifer was also given his wisdom when he was created, (Ezekiel 28:17).

However, he corrupted his wisdom, and now uses it for all evil.

But he will pay for it all forever in the torment of fire and brimstone.

So my point is that, you can get Wisdom from JESUS for anything and everything, in anything and everything: Wisdom for Holiness, obedience, marriage and family, ministry, business, career, inventions and innovations, yes, Wisdom in all things that pertain to life and GODliness.

“If any of you lacks Wisdom, let him ask of GOD, Who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in Faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.” James 1:5-6.

So then, it all comes down to making JESUS your Priority and letting Him have The Preeminence in all things, and He will give you Wisdom to succeed according to His Will and Plans for your life.

Being like Martha — distracted with much serving (engagements not led by THE HOLY SPIRIT), worried and troubled about many things, greatly displeases THE LORD, and will not profit you eternally.

But being like Mary — hearing JESUS and doing only what He says, will profit you exceedingly in this life and in The Life To Come.

Jacob, an apostle of JESUS CHRIST by The Will of GOD, according to The Promise of Life Which is in CHRIST JESUS, (2 Timothy 1:1).
Like John, I like to put my head to The Heart of JESUS so as to know and do His Will always. What’s in His Heart is what matters now and FOREVER. His Heart’s Desire is my only desire. My will is to do His Will.
As John was, I am the disciple whom JESUS loves. And like Paul, I am “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:1) for His Purpose forever: to obey Him always.
NB. Surely, the disciple whom JESUS loves and “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS”, like ALL The Promises of GOD, are available to every believer to obtain, just as John and Paul did.
“And having been perfected, He [JESUS] became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.
