The LORD began to show me a horse stubbornly pulling on the reins. It refused to move and cooperate with its trainer.

As I contemplated this, It led me to these questions,

• Why do we hold onto the reins to our lives, even after He asks us to let go?
• How do we submit more eagerly to His yoke, which He claims is “easy” but which sometimes seems to be so confining to us?

Our flesh battles against our soul and spirit. We long to be comfortable and we want to run our lives. We become stubborn refusing to let go of the control we once had.

You have been hurt. You have experienced trauma or rejection or pain, there are things that have happened to us, that cause us to lash out or rebel against putting that harness back on.

In other words, we “rear up” against Him, using all the force within us to resist! The scars, the wounds, we enter self-protection mode.

As in the case of a stubborn horse, rather than pursue him, the trainer may sit down at the opposite end of the pasture and wait.

The trainer does not give up, but waits for the horse to trust him. In the same way, The LORD’s gaze is always upon His children, and He waits for us to return to Him, to truly let go of the reins of whatever you are holding to.

Such slow progress! Still our Master Trainer waits.

He waits patiently for a willing Bride, never coercing her into submission or forcing her into his service.
His yoke is easy, His burden is light.

Anything Jesus calls you to do He will prepare you for. Anything He summons you to will be done, with Him by your side.

You need never fear surrendering your life to such a kind and wise Master!

“I have come too far to be denied. Let me through for I have got to touch Him. I almost died on the way, but I made it.

The devil tried many times to kill me, but I made it! I heard them say He can open blind eyes, they said He can unstop deaf ears, they said He can make cripples walk, they said He can drive out demons with his word.

I know He can do this for me if I can just touch the very hem of His garment. I have just got to touch Him! I will not leave this place until I touch Him!”

One touch is all it takes!

What is it going to take to breakthrough! What Oh LORD will it take?

This is The LORD’s response, “It’s going to take a different voice, it’s going to take a different sound, it’s going to take a different utterance in the realm of The Spirit.”

“It is not only going to take the roar that comes from My Throne, but the roar that comes from The Lion who has been asleep, because He has been content because YOU have been content.
However now you are disturbed,” says The LORD.

“You are waking up and ready to take some things back. You are releasing the roar in you that has been asleep. You are shaking yourself!

Oh yes, you have some joy and peace, but you know there is more to this than that. You know there is deeper depths in Me. You know there is more blessing in Me. You know there is more to Me than the eye can see,” says The LORD.

“You are seeking for more of Me and my limitless power. You are seeking for the opportunity to pounce on that devil, and FINALLY throw him down and get him under your feet.

And I have that strength for you,” says The LORD. “I have that ability for you.”

“Tap into that roaring sound that thunders in the realm of the Spirit, that sound that puts every devil on notice that you are waking up and coming for what belongs to you.

It is that killer instinct, that ability to know when to pounce and take everything that was stolen from you. “It is that stealth in the Spirit!”

So when you see, and you hear, and when you know that the prey is approaching, (for the enemy comes as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour), you rest assured, there is a stronger roar in the Spirit.

There is a roar that comes from My Throne, and moves through My People. It thunders from The Throne Room of Heaven. There is a thundering roar in the Spirit YET to be given out!” says The LORD.

“It is for those people who are not here to play games. It is for those people who want the real and not the false.

It is for those people who are not satisfied in religion, and biding there time ‘until Jesus comes’. “It is for those people who intend to devour, intend to wrestle and be violent for Me until every enemy is made My footstool and yours.

So, fear not My Child, for The Voice is upon you! It is as close as your very breath.

“Fear not! That Roar within you is rising to the surface. It has been awakened! It is coming upon you! It belongs to YOU! That roar from Heaven that causes the good things of the Spirit to fall at your feet, that roar from Heaven that causes the enemy to flee, that roar from Heaven that lets the devil know you mean business and he shouldn’t mess with you any more… that’s what I’m giving to you this very hour,” saith The LORD.

You shall not just wait till the devil comes knocking at your door, but you will come up behind him and paralyze him with your roar. He will drop everything he has of yours!

I prophesy, “Release that Roar Within you!”

I prophesy that fear you been carrying is now diminishing under the sovereign hand of God!

Tell that fear right now to get out of your way, you got things to do!

He does not give you a spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind!

My master took me and rolled me over and over.

I cried out, “Please let me alone,” but he only smiled, “Not just yet.”

Then he placed me on a wheel and suddenly I was spun around and around. Please let it stop! I screamed. If only this would stop!

But the Master only nodded and said, “Not just yet.”

Then he put me in that oven. I never felt such heat!. Why would he want to burn me? I yelled and knocked at the door. He shook his head, “Not just yet.”

Then suddenly he put me back into the oven, not like the first one. This was twice as hot and I knew I would suffocate.

I begged. I pleaded. I screamed. I cried. I heard that reply, “Not just yet.”

I was ready to give up. The door opened and he took me out. One hour later he handed me a mirror and said, “Look at yourself.” And I did. I said, “That’s not me; that couldn’t be me. I see beauty after all these ashes!”

“I want you to remember,” the Master said, “I know it hurts to be rolled, but if I had left you alone, you would have dried up. I know it made you dizzy to spin around on the wheel, but if I had stopped, you would have crumbled.

I knew it hurt and was hot and disagreeable in the oven, but if I hadn’t put you there, you would have cracked. And if I hadn’t put you back in that second oven, you wouldn’t survive for very long because the hardness would not have held.

Listen to me now, I know it hurts, it seems hopeless, you feel like you got locked in this furnace and the thermostat just went higher, you cry, you scream, you feel like you just wont make it.”

I hear The LORD say, “Don’t fear the flames, stop complaining, keep your eyes on Me!”
