There are MANY who are having trouble with some sort of COMPULSION which has effected you and your Growth and Walk as a Christian for years. The definition of a Compulsion is:

A “Compulsion” is according to the dictionary…

• 1. The Act of COMPELLING; Constraint; Coercion.
• 2. The State or condition of being COMPELLED.
• 3. Psychology, a strong, usually irresistible impulse to perform an act, especially one that is irrational or contrary to one’s Will.

Many have found that they have a compulsion which is overwhelming and find it very very difficult, or impossible to resist–AN IMPULSE. A good example is someone who is drinking strong drink and has become an Alcoholic. The Alcoholic finds themselves in a STATE OF MIND which is COERCING THEM TO DRINK, even if they have done all to stop drinking. It has been documented that those who have this drinking disorder have to be literally delivered of a foreign power living in them which the Bible calls DEMONS. I have personally encountered Alcoholic Demons who had to be exorcised (cast out of the person), before the Compulsion is Broken. I have seen many INSTANTLY SET FREE FROM AN ALCOHOL COMPULSION when the demon left them. The desire to drink left immediately, as the demon departed and the delivered person was SET FREE from the compulsion.

To say less than that this is a VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM, would be sweeping the truth under the Rug and ignoring the truth. Yet many today try to treat compulsions by psychological approach. I have noted that Religious Schools are training Christian Ministers (Pastors) to deal with this problem through psychology. But psychology alone can not stop these very difficult Compulsions. They can only be broken by the Power and Authority of Jesus Christ and His Name.

This compulsive problem which can be, is in in most cases caused by a demon power or a demon which lives within the Flesh person. IT IS NOT RESTRICTED TO THE UNSAVED, BUT A CHRISTIAN CAN BE TORMENTED BY A DEMON. Many are trying to say a Saved person cannot have demons, but this is untrue. Although I will agree that a Saved person CANNOT BE TOTALLY POSSESSED OR TAKEN OVER BY DEMON POWER, the fact is plain that Christians can be and ARE ATTACKED BY DEMONS. When a person opens the door for the enemy to come in by making a wrong choice, then a demon or demons (more than one), can come in through that open door. I give you the example of Smoking here. By the deliberate act of rebellion against known warnings that Smoking is harmful, many Christians do deliberately smoke anyway. This action will open the door and allow the enemy to lodge in them. I have noted that those who smoke CAN NOT QUIT BECAUSE THE SMOKING BECOMES COMPULSIVE. I have observed how a Smoker will literally CRAVE AND EVEN PHYSICALLY SHAKE AND CONVULSE WHEN THEY TRY TO STOP SMOKING. I have even been there smoking myself, and have experienced this compulsion. To say then that this problem is only for the ungodly and the Lost would be wrong, because as Born Again Christians we all are faced daily with making choices to do right or wrong. If it can be true using Smoking as an example, then other things can as well become compulsions, such as SEXUAL SINS which a person CHOOSES TO BE INVOLVED IN. Brother Derek Prince wrote about the sin of Masturbation. God never intended one to partake in this sex act. When a person does this the demon of masturbation is INVITED IN. It has been pointed out by the late Derek Prince, who had a Demon Expulsion and Deliverance Ministry, that he had personally delivered many who had a masturbation demon. He said that this particular demon would be in a persons hand and when he spoke to it the hand would shake when the demon came out. Prince said that this sexual perversion of masturbation had to be addressed by name and the demon had to be exercised by the Authority of Jesus Christ. When it was, the demon would leave and that sexual compulsion would be broken.

Let me list some COMMON COMPULSIONS: (The list below are not all that could be listed)

• Alcoholic Drank
• Drugs, All forming of habit drugs, both hard drugs such as Heroin and other drugs consider soft drugs like Marijuana. or Even prescription Drugs.
• Perverted Sex: Masturbation, pornography, fornication, adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, effeminacy (to name a few).
• Lying
• Excessive Anger
• Depression
• Smoking
• Physical Appetites

After seeing this list of common compulsions then, this becomes an even larger issue. If you have a compulsion and KNOW YOU HAVE IT….. what do you do to get free?

Many are turning to others and crying out for help and many are considering that ONLY JESUS CAN HELP THEM. Well, to say less would be wrong, certainly Jesus does help those who call upon him, and even a Spirit Filled Christian who knows who he or she is can help a person pray and be delivered of compulsive spirits.

BUT…..

IF YOU HAVE A COMPULSION DEMON YOU MUST KNOW THAT THE NEXT MOVE IS YOURS.

Jesus Christ has ALREADY DELIVERED YOU FROM SATAN’S POWER WHEN HE DIED ON THE CROSS FOR YOUR SINS AND TO DESTROY THE WORK OF THE DEVIL.

1 JOHN 3:8b “…..For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”

Every Child of God has RECEIVED THIS DELIVERANCE POWER and must know that in the Name of Jesus Christ and in His AUTHORITY the devil and all demon power is BROKEN AND DESTROYED. Therefore all any person must know to be free is this truth. IF YOU KNOW THAT THE DEVIL OR DEMON POWER HAS….. ALREADY BEEN DESTROYED BY JESUS…. Then THE NEXT MOVE IS YOURS…..

YOU MUST RISE UP IN THIS TRUTH AND SPEAK OUT THE AUTHORITY IN JESUS CHRIST NAME SAYING… devil or compulsion… I DO NOT HAVE TO PUT UP WITH YOU ANY LONGER.. I DO NOT WANT YOU AND I CHOOSE TO BE FREE FROM YOU… YOU MUST LEAVE ME IN JESUS CHRIST NAME AND AUTHORITY….. NOW!!!!!!!!!!

When ANY PERSON takes the above position IN FAITH AND AUTHORITY… the devil and demons will have to leave you and set you free. The fact is many do not believe this and keep bowing to the power and compulsion of the evil in unbelief. RISE UP AND ….. YOU STAND IN THE AUTHORITY OF JESUS NAME AND WATCH THE ENEMY RUN FROM YOU!!!!!!

BUT… YOU MUST… MAKE THE MOVE AND CHOOSE TO BE FREE.

In meetings when I see COMPULSION ON A PERSON, I look at it as a demon. I ASK THE PERSON DO YOU WANT TO BE FREE???? If they say YES…. PLEASE I DO NOT WANT THIS POWER ANY LONGER OR THIS COMPULSIVE HABIT OR SIN…. Then the demon, compulsion, or devil has JUST LOST HIS OPEN DOOR. He is no longer INVITED IN BUT NOW IT IS INVITED OUT…. AND IT …….. ***(((MUST OBEY THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST AND FLEE). But many are looking for someone else to help them be free. JESUS CHRIST HAS ALREADY SET YOU FREE… NOW BELIEVE IT.

The enemy can not stay where he is NOT WANTED and he will certainly have to leave at the mention of JESUS CHRIST NAME.

So MAKE YOUR MOVE… MOVE ON THE ENEMY AND SHUT THE OPEN DOOR… TELL HIM TO GO TO HELL!!! He must comply. If he persists, then get other Believers to Stand with you and Believe. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO KEEP THOSE COMPULSIONS. YOU ARE FREE IN JESUS CHRIST FINISHED WORK. IN HIS NAME AND AUTHORITY YOU ARE GREATER THAN ALL THE devil HAS TO AFFLICT OR TORMENT YOU WITH. YOU ARE MORE THAN AN OVER- COMER IN HIS POWER.

JAMES 4:7-10 “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands ye sinners: and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will lift you up.”

When a person who KNOWS HE HAS A COMPULSION or something that is evil and wishes to be Free of it He should:

1. Confess his faith in Jesus Christ stating that he is SAVED BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS AND IS A CHILD OF THE MOST HIGH GOD.

2. HUMBLE YOURSELF before God

3. Confess the KNOWN SIN and come in Truth

4. REPENT OF THE KNOWN SIN

5. Forgive any person you have not forgiven.

6. Speak out loud your release by saying… “Lord Jesus I thank you that on the cross you were made a curse, that I might be redeemed from every curse and inherit God’s blessing. On that basis I ask you to release me and set me free to receive the deliverance I need.”

7. Take your stand with God by saying.. “I take my stand with you Lord, against all Satan’s demons. I submit to you, Lord, and I resist the devil. amen”

8. EXPEL THE DEMON BY FAITH COMMANDING IT TO LEAVE YOU…

May God bless this word and bring it forth to help many who are NOW BOUND BY COMPULSIVE DEMON POWER setting them Free to walk in the Victory that Jesus Christ has purchased for them all on his Cross and in his resurrection power.
