It’s only for a Season…
“All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come” Job 14:14.
The devil can only act a fool for so long.. And then, his season of attack is over! If we can ever really grasp the concept of job and the hard trials that he endured, we will realize that God has a noose around the enemy’s neck and in the appointed time, things will suddenly change.
The book of Job is an encouragement to the children of god and shows that the enemy has to have permission to attack one of God’s children. Satan can only cross so many boundaries before God tightens the noose around his neck (Job 2:6). God allows him to do so much for so long and then its over for him.
It is a privilege to be recommended by God and if we are truly walking upright before the Lord, then we are protected by God’s “hedge”. And if Satan has gotten through the hedge, then he has only gotten through by the permission of the almighty God!
Just begin to count it all joy when hard trials come from all sides! Know that it is working patience and trust in the Lord. When we look at the trials of job, it makes the rest of our trials seem like a cake walk; and, it is easier said than done. But if you can just hold on like Job did until the end of the trying season, God will give you double the blessings for all of the stressing.
For surely as you trust and wait upon the Lord, weeping may endure for a night… but joy is sure to come in the morning! Yes, the trials are only for a season!
“But they that wait upon the lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint” Isaiah 40:31.

New King James Version (NKJV)
9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
