It Was Jesus Who Warned His Apostles!
It was not just any man talking, but it was Jesus Himself, who warned His Apostles, who were the foundation of the Church Body which Jesus had come to establish, through choosing them to be Apostles.
Jesus said to The Apostles:
“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: for then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.” Matthew 24:15-23.
Notice, Jesus was warning His Apostles about something that definitely is revealed to happen [in the middle of the tribulation days] which they [The Apostles] would need to flee from and hide in the wilderness!
Since Jesus took time to earnestly warn his Apostles [the early Church foundations] that they needed to watch for an event which Daniel the Prophet told of that would happen in the middle of the tribulation, that must mean that Jesus knew they would be in the tribulation days!
Jesus even warned them of the terrible things to happen in the tribulation, and hoped the best for them.
I don’t wish to be crude or ugly, but…. when folks come along later and speak and say something that directly contradicts Jesus Himself.. then that is a most serious thing for them to do!
Another fact to consider as well:
The apostles were all “Jewish”. This only means that the early Church was Jewish.
The Gentiles came into The Church later, when Peter was told to go down to Cornelious’ house and to tell him about Jesus. It was later the Gentiles came in as a people. (See Acts 10.)
So today many people contradict what Jesus said to the Jewish Church, when they say the that only the nation of Jews would be in the tribulation… but The Church would somehow be spared!
One should note then: “The the early Church was Jewish in the beginning, and the Gentiles were added later.”
When Jesus was talking to his Jewish Apostles [of the Church or the Body of Christ], he refuted the teaching that only the Jews would be in the tribulation.. and The Church would be spared.
In order to understand the true meaning of Scripture, one must rightly divide the Scripture, comparing Scripture with Scripture, and taking into consideration the context of the passage at hand.
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.” 2 Timothy 2:15-18.
Notice, because some did not rightly divide the Word of God…they cause the overthrow of the Faith of some.
Conclusion:
Many teachers who teach the Pre-Tribulation Rapture are not listening to what JESUS SAID, nor are they rightly dividing the Word of God.
This is why they are running into many who are moving to contradict them with the Truth, and this is why they are causing much division in the Body of Christ.
The issue was spoken by Jesus Christ himself. Is that not enough?
Be sure you are right before teaching… anything… you must rightly divide The Word of God first.
