It Is Time to Enjoy This Journey!

It Is Time to Enjoy This Journey!
“Let each one [give] as he has made up his own mind and purposed in his heart, not reluctantly or sorrowfully or under compulsion, for God loves (He takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without) a CHEERFUL (joyous, “prompt to do it”) giver [whose heart is in his giving],” 2 Corinthians 9:7.
Cheerful Giving Isn’t About Just Money
Did you ever stop to think about these giving scriptures without money being the central thing in them.
What if we thought about them for a minute within the context of just “giving of ourselves or serving?
I then takes on a whole new meaning.
Just like when the beggar outside the Temple in Acts saw Peter and was begging from him.
He said, “Silver and gold have I none but such as I have give I unto you!”
He gave what was inside of Him. He gave Him what he needed at the time which was healing.
I Changed My Attitude and My Life Changed!
I learned a life lesson, in my younger years, even before I became a Christian that has helped me my whole life.
In my twenties I was a waitress at a restaurant just outside of a local college campus.
The clientele there were college kids who were for a lack of a better term Smart Alecks.
They would make fun of you, harass, and just plain old be mean sometimes.
One day and I mean one day, all of a sudden, something hit me and I said to myself…”until I start enjoying this journey, I am going to be miserable.”
Just like that, I decided to change my attitude! And do you know that I began to start laughing with the people and was even able to laugh at myself for some of the goofy mistakes that I made.
Suddenly, because I chose to put on a new attitude and stop feeling sorry for myself everything in my life changed, I mean everything!
Suddenly, I was enjoying my time at work and I began to actually love to be around and kid around with those i was serving!
Time to Enjoy Your Relationships
There is a scripture talking to women about their attitude with their husbands in 1 Peter 3:2, but I think it could apply to any relationship and it tells women to, “deeply love, and enjoy your husband.”
Imagine, it is telling us that we must WILLFULLY ENJOY them!
Just like that! It doesn’t say that when they do this or that, then you will enjoy them, no, it says you MUST enjoy them.
That takes putting on a new attitude for many of us!
In that same way we can choose to enjoy any relationship.
I am here as an example of that! A s soon as we choose to obey putting on a NEW ATTITUDE then the Spirit will come and strengthen us to do it and he will give us the how to do it!
“If you will turn (repent) and give heed to my reproof, behold, I [Wisdom] will pour out my spirit upon you, I will make my words known to you,” Proverbs 1:3.
You see when we choose to turn and do it God’s way and that takes a new attitude, then he will pour out His Spirit upon us to be able to do it!
So the simple truth is that if we choose to change our attitude and enjoy the journey then we will soon find ourselves truly enjoying it by the power of His Spirit.
The LORD Is Saying…
I hear the LORD saying, “isn’t it time to stop this cycle of misery and pain and choose to enjoy life?
Isn’t it time to enjoy your work, and quit complaining?
Find what is good and lovely and of a good report and rejoice in it.
I have never been able to bless murmuring and complaining.
I have never been able to, because it is not of My Spirit. But I will bless those who let My Praise ever be on their lips and who release the Kingdom which is Love, joy and peace in the Holy Spirit!
Release My Joy by activating a new attitude!
Release it and see your situation change!
Always think on the good and not the bad!
Be a cheerful giver of My Spirit and you will see the Kingdom kind of living come into view before you!
Rejoice in the LORD always and you will see even yourself transform before your very eyes!”
Hallelujah!
Nothing Else Will Do!
In a season of seeking the LORD with all of your heart and finding him, you always develop this thing called “hunger for more” and then nothing else will ever satisfy it but another level of deeper still…
The reason for your restlessness is, “you know there is more of Him to behold!”
“In the night I dreamed that I sought the one whom I love. She said I looked for him but could not find him. So I decided to go out into the city, into the streets and broad ways which are so confusing to a country girl, and seek him whom my soul loves. I sought him, but I could not find him.
The watchmen who go about the city found me, to whom I said, Have you seen him whom my soul loves?” Song of Solomon 3:1-3.

This is awesome
A positive word that we can change our life almost at the flick of our “attitude switch.”
Thank you.
