IT IS NOT TIME TO WAVER,
I AM SHAKING FOUNDATIONS!!

MY CHEERLEADING FIASCO

The Lord reminded me this morning of a thing that happened to me as a young girl at the age of eleven. We had moved every year to a new school, due to my father being transferred in his job and this year was no different, only this year, was the first year that I was to have the chance to be in the cheerleader tryouts.

Back in those days it wasn’t like it is now, you had to try-out all alone in front of the whole school and then they had to vote for you, so what it would usually amount to was a popularity contest, which I didn’t even have a clue about before that time. I just knew that I wanted to cheer the ball team on!

WAVERING CAUSED ME TO LOSE

“For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways,” James 1:7-8.

The night before the tryouts, I was trying to figure out what I was going to do for the tryout and my mother began to show me one of the cheers that they did at her old school of Harrisburg High, back in the late forties and early fifties. So I listened to her advice and went with her cheer.

When I got to the tryouts that day, all of the girls were in a line awaiting their turn to tryout in front of what seemed to me to be an enormous crowd! As I was waiting in line, some of the girls were doing their cheers and just talking, when this one girl asked me what cheer I was doing.

I began to tell her and all of a sudden she said to me, “But, we don’t know that one at this school!” Suddenly, I became panicked and she taught me the words to one that they did there and I began to rehearse the words, thinking that I could put those words to the movements that my Mom had taught me the night before!

When I went out after being called to the floor. There I stood, wavering back and forth in my head about what I was about to do. I was panicking inside and so,afraid and trembling I decided to go with the new words and my old motions! Well, as you can imagine, I made a huge fool of myself in front of the whole school!

Trying to do it the old school way with the new school just didn’t work! It was awkward, it looked weird, I felt out of sync, and just totally embarrassed. Of course, I didn’t win that day. In fact, they booed me!

I vowed never to tryout for cheerleader again and on my way out, a boy whom I liked called me ugly to boot, and not only that, I blamed my Mom for teaching me that stupid cheer!

WHAT ARE YOU SAYING LORD?

I felt that when the Lord reminded me of this today, that I knew immediately what He was wanting me to do.

Number one, was first and foremost, forgive my mother and, number two, to let you know that many of you are trying to go into this new season, into new territory and for some, it has become a bit awkward and you are feeling out of sync.

The Lord is saying that, “Many are trying to use old school methods, to do what God has called them to do in a new sphere of influence, and you can not do both.”

God is calling many aside to learn new ways to perform a new job in the Kingdom. It is time to wait upon the LORD to hear and receive the new mode of operation that He wants to show you in this season.

THE METHOD OF OPERATION HAS CHANGED

I heard Him say that we must, “Forget those things that are behind, for behold I AM going to do a new thing in your day, if you will be willing to be taught some new things that you do not know!

I am sending you through a crash course on how to win the hearts of those to whom I AM sending you to. This is not time to waver between two methods of operation.

This is not time to dig out old ways that have not worked in the past. The only things that I want to use from the past are those things that you have learned and can be passed to the next generation but my methods of cheering them onto victory have changed with their time!”

I AM SHAKING THE FOUNDATIONS

“I AM shaking the methods and ways that the church has done in the past, that has run many away and I AM shaking the foundations of many doctrines that have not been My doctrine, but the doctrines of man!

Your traditions and doctrines have made my word and who I truly am of no effect!

I AM shaking belief systems that are not of Me!

I AM shaking political systems.

I AM rooting up bad foundations! it is time for you to shift with Me!

It is time to enlarge your thinking! I AM not in your box!

The tide is turning, a new wave of my glory is upon you! It is time to flow with the winds of change that are blowing all that is not of me away!

Stop trying to hang on to the old way for I AM about to blow it over and I do not want my people getting blown over and buried in the debris! There is a clarion call for the shift and so it is time to shift!!

Awake unto that which I have called you to awaken to and you will see the greatest harvest in your lifetime that will be millions and yes, even a billion youth come into the Kingdom!”
