Is Their an Uncertain Sound Being Played by Your Instrument?
“And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped? For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?” 1 Corinthians 14:7-8.
There are many different instruments that make-up an orchestra. Each one of these instruments has their own quality and sound that they produce.
Anyone who has ever played a musical instrument knows the importance of tuning and knowing when something doesn’t sound right when they’re playing a particular song or melody.
And of course without practice, one can’t expect to be able to perfect their craft.
Every one of us has been given various gifts and abilities from the Father. And just as a musical instrument needs to be tuned, so also our spiritual gifts need the fine tuning from the Holy Spirit.
But no matter how gifted one might be with words of prophecy or wisdom and knowledge, if their character is flawed, then the words come out cloudy or prideful.
One must be aware of the influx of prophecies that speak of the great darkness that is coming.
With the litany of all of these messages, one will see the whole spectrum of words that speak of the great tsunamis, an invasion of Russia and China, and a whole host of catastrophic events that will unfold.
And the truth of the matter is that indeed, these things are coming, and one must be prepared for them.
Many still scoff at the notion that these events will unfold upon our nation. These are those who somehow still believe that our great land will stand forever as a bulwark against the cloud of evil that is around them.
And yet there is even a more diabolical theme that many seem to miss within the unfolding of many of these messages.
For just as one would play their trumpet or drum in an orchestra, that sound at times can sometimes appear to be off-key.
I say this even when the content of their song seems to be right on, but there is a sharpness that is noticed when the melody is played.
You see, perhaps imperceptible to some, there are many within the camp of the prophetic who perhaps have learned to play their instrument well, but they are off-key.
Even the notes that they play at times, follow another melody other than what the conductor has called for.
They are following their own score, even when the violins and oboes continue with the theme that God has called them to play.
Many desire to be held in the highest of esteem as their messages come out almost daily, asking the body of Christ around them to say, “Look at him or her, doesn’t her song resonate with you? Surely, they are the greatest of instruments!”
You see, one can very easily fall into the trap of allowing their gift and ministry to draw attention to them rather than to the One that it has emanated from.
Don’t let your instrument and song draw so much attention to yourself that you forget that you are really just part of the overall orchestra.
And be sure that the melody that you play is in tune with the conductor that is listening.

AWESOME!
