Is it later than we think!
There was a king that had a vision; he was troubled that none of his seers or wise men could tell him what the true interpretation was. He knew about Daniel. May I say before I continue, many like to quote from the writings of this prophet and relate it to the time we are living in now, and the days ahead. But I wonder if they believe that many of the things he wrote and described then, have spiritual meaning for us today?
What had been prophesied to this man, came to pass. It says that he ate grass like an ox; that his hair grew like eagles feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws. Some scholars, think this went on for seven years.
Why? This writing seems to state quite clearly, that even after the man had heard Daniels interpretation of his vision; he went about his way for about a year or so. Then, he made a grave error. He looked around at all he had, and said, “Look what I have built; by the might of my power, and for the honor of my majesty.” He did not get the words out of his mouth, before a voice spoke from heaven. Right then, what had been prophesied to him, fell on him, and every word came to pass. He later repented and changed his way of bragging on himself and gave honor and glory to God. But it was not until after judgment came. Some will say, this doesn’t relate to today.
But, there is one thing that troubles me, and I think it’s beginning to bother a lot of others who have decided to watch. Many of our bible teachers and preachers of days gone by, taught many of us, that we the church, would already be gone from this Earth by now. Obviously, we’re not. Many of those things that were laughed at and scoffed at, are now coming to pass as we speak. Someone was wrong. And someone is likely wrong right now, as they shake off warnings and trumpet blasts from those who have been appointed to declare what they have been given for this hour. People are unmoved. Because some do not approve of the messenger, they feel they are justified in shrugging off anything said, that they do not agree with.
If some of the things we were taught are true, then the day of the Gentiles is about to come to a close. And this dispensation of Grace, as so many see it, will close also. And yet, we are still here. If the Lord tarries for much longer, there is no longer any doubt that we will see many things we only thought others would see. We might face things we never thought we would have to face; be subjected to forces and changes in authority, we were told we would miss.
I don’t wish to sound curt; I would rather plead and cry out. But it is not smart, not to be alert and watch. It’s not about promoting fear or aching for judgment to fall on people. It’s about an army, that is supposed to be prepared for encounters we’ve likely not seen or heard of before. Resting at ease and comfort, is foolish in this late hour.
I think it is false teaching and false doctrine, to believe and teach, that judgment, cannot begin at the house of the Lord, in this dispensation. The truth is, it’s already been falling there for quite a few years now. I believe, that God is going to send His angels, to pick out, to remove those in His kingdom who offend.
In common language, He is going to clean up His church, before He comes back for it. Jesus Christ said that. This using of God’s house and His people, to build up your own personal kingdom and self-power and control center, is going to come to an end.
Only those who seek fully to follow the leading of the Spirit and those who promote the true operation and demonstration of all of God’s gifts and power, will remain. The day of self, is almost over. Only those who remain humble and are genuinely manifesting the fruit of the Spirit, will have the strength to endure.
Amen!
