Into The West!
“It will also come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear. The wolf and the lamb will graze together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox; and dust will be the serpent’s food. They will do no evil or harm in all My holy mountain,” says The LORD,” Isaiah 65:24-25.
There are moments in our lives when we wish perhaps that we could travel into the west as some of those weary travelers did from “The Lord of the Rings.”
For our journeys upon this earth sometimes seem to go on and on without a rest. And yet, even in the midst of all of our trials and tribulations we still have moments of rest and peace.
But we long for that eternal rest when all the sorrows of this present age will have come to an end.
Eventually all of the wars of this present age will have vanished. For there will come a time when all of the weapons of warfare will have beaten their swords into plowshares.
But there are many roads still to take in this life. There are daily struggles and joys that we must still experience.
Those roads begin right outside our doors and they take us to many places that we still are to find.
We still are in this present age and because of this fallen world that we live in, there is still disease and death that plagues mankind.
We live with evil and darkness all around us, and while it’s true that we have within us the light of God’s presence and truth, we still must face many battles both of the flesh and of the spiritual.
But the time will come when there will be new heavens and a new earth. The time will come when an old man will live out his days, and our abode will not be of the materials of this present age that decay.
But we shall eat the fruit of our hands and we shall dwell in the house of The LORD forever.
No one shall hurt or destroy upon that holy mountain, and we shall not even remember the days of our former lives, for they will have vanished like vapor into the air. And then the sundering seas will welcome us, and we shall depart into those places that have been prepared for us.
Into the West (©Annie Lennox)
“Lay down
Your sweet and weary head
The night is falling
You have come to journey’s end
Sleep now
And dream of the ones who came before
They are calling
From across the distant shore
Why do you weep?
What are these tears upon your face?
Soon you will see
All of your fears will pass away
Safe in my arms
You’re only sleeping
What can you see
On the horizon?
Why do the white gulls call?
Across the sea
A pale moon rises
The ships have come to carry you home
And all will turn
To silver glass
A light on the water
All Souls pass
Hope fades
Into the world of night
Through shadows falling
ut of memory and time
Don’t say
We have come now to the end
White shores are calling
You and I will meet again
And you’ll be here in my arms
Just sleeping
And all will turn
To silver glass
A light on the water
Grey ships pass
Into the West.”

Stephen Hanson of In His Truth Ministries came to the LORD is a special way in 1975 and has prophesied regularly since. In these end-time birthing pangs we are reminded that judgment must first begin with the household of God. Will we be prepared and ready?
Wonderful. Thank you.
I’m weeping. Thank you for ministering to my traumatized and overwhelmed heart right now.
The battle has been so fierce and relentless. We are moving
Yet again, though I feel hope, I also have an incurable disease.
I need the light to break through the clouds. Yet, I have so much to be thankful for. How God’s hand of loving mercy is seen all around.
