Intentional Grounding
Are The LORD’s thoughts really past finding out?
He has said to all of us, “I know the thoughts I have toward you; they are thoughts of peace, not of evil, to give to you a future a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11).
Even though He has told this so many times in our lives, why do you think we don’t tend to keep it as our reality?
Our experience in seeking Him needs an intentional grounding.
In football, when the quarterback is being pursued by the opposing defense, he may throw the ball down on the ground to prevent being sacked for a loss of yardage on the field.
But it becomes so obvious to the referee that it was done intentionally in an illegal fashion that the referee calls out that the ball was intentionally grounded, (a personal foul, I believe).
But we need to utilize our own “intentional grounding,” when we are relentlessly pursued by our adversary.
This means that we are giving our situation over to The LORD, Who is our strong tower.
“For the Name of The LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to Him and they find safety.” Proverbs 18:10.
The Devil may call out “personal foul” against you, as an accuser would say. But the words spoken against you, you shall condemn.
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper,” the words spoken against you, you shall condemn, for this is your heritage in The LORD, and your vindication comes from God. (Isaiah 54:17)
“You are of God little children and that evil one touches you not for greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.” 1 Jon 4:4.
“That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints, what is the width and length and depth and height, to know the Love of Christ that surpasses knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now to Him Who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:17-21.
