Infant versus Mature Believers
As I was meditating upon The LORD, He spoke to me regarding those who are yet grabbing the breast and refuse to let the breast go in this season!
Many times we refuse to let go of the spiritual breast of those who have parented us, because like an infant or a small child, it has become a safety net, something to hold on like a security blanket in Christ,.
But how can God make disciples out of those He has called, when we are like infant children who refuses to step out on faith to trust Him for the process?
Many leaders and pastors have crippled the people, because they prefer to be baby sitters (little gods) instead of spiritual parents who are called to help make disciples out of those whom God has called!
The Apostle Paul was very frustrated with the people of God because of all the strife and the division in the house, and because the people of God refused to acknowledge that the men God had called were ONLY mere men helping to build Christ’s Kingdom, but it was God who was truly bringing about the transformation of the people, and not anything we, as His disciples, had done to get the glory!
Apostle Paul said,
“As long as you grab for what makes you feel good or makes you look important, are you really much different than a babe at the breast, content only when everything’s going your way? When one of you says, “I’m on Paul’s side,” and another says, “I’m for Apollos,” aren’t you being totally infantile?” 1 Corinthians 3:1-4 MSG.
So many have chosen to latch on to their favorite man or woman of God, but Apostle Paul was trying to redirect The Church in unity and to learn how to appreciate each other, instead of competing and working against one another, because in the end, it was God who was privileged to get the Glory and to help bring about change in the lives of the people.
But those who had not grown in Christ, because of their carnal minds, felt as though it was the man who was doing the work, and all the glory should be theirs, rather than the Fathers!
But Apostle Paul had to remind them that these favorite vessels — you as The Body of Christ — have clung to, are nothing more than dirt, and without God they are nothing!
Paul had to remind them,
“We each carried out our servant assignment. I planted the seed, Apollos watered the plants, but God made you grow. It’s not the one who plants or the one who waters who is at the center of this process but God, who makes things grow. Planting and watering are menial servant jobs at minimum wages. Planting and watering are menial servant jobs at minimum wages. What makes them worth doing is the God we are serving. You happen to be God’s field in which we are working.” 1 Corinthians 3: 5-9, MSG emphasis added.
True, mature disciples, recognize that there should be no competition in The Body of Christ, because we are mere vessels called to go and to work in the vineyard for a penny a day, and whatsoever is right at the end of the day is the reward thou shall receive.
But the problem is, many have begun to complain and to murmur at the good man of the house, because you feel you are not being paid fairly!
Help us Holy Ghost, and like an infant child The LORD says, “You pout, you compare yourself with yourself, which is not wise!
You fight, you compete, you hate, have envy and even murder, strife and jealousy in your hearts like Cain did his brother Abel and instead of supporting him, you take him out to murder him in secret, ripping his or her heart out for all the world to see.”
And for that God says, “You shall be judged! Just as Cain was who said his burden (punishment) was more than he could bear!”
Sin causes one to have an unbearable burden, because it is bondage and captivity that Satan has placed upon us.
Cain realized he was out of The Will of God and instead of repenting and seeing how he could make it right with Abel and God, he allowed Satan to manifest murder; instead of the love of God! (Genesis 4:13).
Isn’t that how the flesh manifests in our lives, when we refuse to deal with our hidden weakness instead of unity, support and love?
It brings hatred, division and strife and the secret killing of a sister or a brother in Christ, as Apostle Paul has said to the disciples regarding working as a team; collaboration and in unity!
Cain took Abel out in a field by himself and murdered him and his destiny, all because he felt rejected, insecure, inferior and as though God had accepted Abel’s offering, but never gave him the time of day!
In this season, I prophesy The Love of The Father will warm the hearts of the rejected children and those who have been killed by someone who is walking in destiny, by a rejected angry heart who is lashing out causing divisions (frustration) and animosity in the body of Christ.
I pray God will heal every orphan heart in our Nation, community, family and our churches as God heals every broken heart in this season!
God wants you to know — as He did Cain — that He loves you and if you do good your offering shall also be accepted — “if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him,” (Genesis 4:7).
“Or, to put it another way, you are God’s house. Using the gift God gave me as a good architect, I designed blueprints; Apollos is putting up the walls. Let each carpenter who comes on the job take care to build on the foundation! Remember, there is only {one} foundation, the one already laid: Jesus Christ.
Take particular care in picking out your building materials. Eventually there is going to be an inspection. If you use cheap or inferior materials, you’ll be found out.
The inspection will be thorough and rigorous. You won’t get by with a thing. If your work passes inspection, fine; if it doesn’t, your part of the building will be torn out and started over. But you won’t be torn out; you’ll survive-but just barely.” 1 Corinthians 3:9-15 MSG.
It is Time to Grow Up!
~ Apostle Geraldine Fisher
Apostle Geraldine Fisher has a World-Wide-Social Media Net-Work Ministry. As a Missionary, God moved her into the Office of a Prophet, revealing to her the qualities of a True prophet, humility, humiliation, loving others, interceding in prayer, as she keeps her own life clean to accurately hear from God. Since hearing the audible voice of God calling her to ministry, she’s been called to intercede and pray for others in ministry as God speaks, instructs, directs and gives prophetic words for her to give to others. God promised He would bring her to sit and to learn before great men, all of which He did!
I see the Love of the Fathers heart in your words, life isn’t easy, no bed of roses now, but the words of a righteous man or women, like yours, sure makes the air sweeter. THANK YOU
