Indifference
It’s been said, that when The LORD gets ready, you gotta move.
We used to sing a chorus like that. If you have truly made yourself available to Him, you will be called out from whatever you are doing, to answer.
When you clearly make yourself a part of His Plan, dedicated to move in the way The Holy Ghost wants you to go, you remain on call.
It’s not about whether you feel like it, whether you even feel like your worthy to move. You must obey, His true urgency.
It’s been said, that indifference, is one of the greatest enemies of the Church. If it once mattered, it no longer does, or it simply does not carry the weight it once did. In the earlier times, I do believe that following the leading of The Spirit, was one of the main focuses of most all leadership and those in the pews.
Why would we have wanted anything else? It wouldn’t have made any sense; it doesn’t now.
One must ask, just how did so many other things come to take the place of the moving of The Holy Ghost. What was it that caused such goals to change so?
Years back now, there was a huge cry from Spirit-filled groups for a return to full Apostolic renewal. For seeing the same kind of power and demonstration, that was a common thing in the early Church.
There seems to be a rash of signs, wonders and miracles going on in some places and ministries. But do the Gifts of The Spirit operate in such a real degree.
Does the Body of Christ, whatever assembly it is, know what is genuine and what is from another realm?
How many of us remember some of the things the apostles wrote about some of these things?
Did they not warn their own, even then, that false brethren would creep in; that false prophets would arise in the midst? They did.
Were there common teachings in The Word, about those who become cold, distracted and start to follow their own doctrine?
How did we, the saints, veer away from such deeper, yet simple truths? Like, The Fear of The LORD; searching your own salvation, with fear and trembling; knowing The Word for yourself; and studying, for the purpose of showing yourself approved unto God. Then, rightly dividing The Word of Truth.
Does it matter, that for the most part, we never saw this full renewal that The Spirit spoke of in our meetings?
How was it that commandments of men, and their personal visions, tried to work against the depth we all once knew we were promised?
A one-fold or two-fold kind of ministry. True prophets pushed out; The Gifts of The Spirit relegated to only a few who dared to try and take out, some of the most needed and scriptural things that God had placed in the Church.
Does one wonder why we never went on to perfection in Christ; the fullness He intended?
The phrase “tickling of the ears” always offended me. The very idea that the ministry would only tell me what “I” want to hear!
So many are wounded; people don’t want to hear that; it’s an old drum.
So many suffer from broken hearts, from crushed spirits and show up to look the part and act as though they are well.
Many have become indifferent to substitutions for the moving of The Spirit; entertainment exercises from too many who are not even Spiritual anymore.
Watch their videos; and discern their movements — discern the sound of their voices.
God is calling us out.
Those seeking the deeper move of The Spirit, those who have been conditioned and trained for this hour, cannot be indifferent. It’s impossible!
Lukewarm, is close to no warmth at all. And there is no excuse for it, when simple repentance would change it all.
The world desperately needs what we say we have.
Do we still have it?
Can we use it in full today, the way we were meant to?
The Spirit is “calling us on the carpet,” — an old saying for asking us to give a full account.
God is going to protect us. Hell, will have to step aside now.
