Incubating The Word of God In Our Lives
Incubation involves an egg being kept warm until it hatches.
As the chick inside the egg is pecking at the inside of its shell, its neck is getting stronger and stronger, as well as the muscles in its body.
Development does take exercise, doesn’t it?
The chick inside the egg is getting stronger with every strike it makes on the shell. The shell finally starts to crack little by little, until the chick has freed itself from the remnants of the shell and stands up for the first time.
It makes its first sounds as it gains it ability it express its excitement of being free from its shell. Of course it will be hungry.
We as born again Christians can relate to the newborn chick in regards to the new-found life we have found in the LORD Jesus Christ.
We were enclosed in a life of sin, where we could not set ourselves free from its grip.
We kept on going until we came to the place where all our effort to do things right were strangled by the nature we continued to carry; the nature of sin.
But during this time God the Father sent forth His Word and it will not come back to Him void; but will accomplish the purpose for which He sent it.
When we learned that the Word of God has to abide in us as Jesus said “If you abide in Me and My Word abides in you, then you shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you”, the Word of God gave us the power to break forth from the nature of sin.
We are then able in Christ to sound forth our excitement of being free to express our love to Him for the freedom He has given us.
And through the exercise of our faith in God, we are able to do all things through Christ Who strengthens you.
As we allow ourselves to incubate the Word of God in our lives, we will become more than conquerors through Him Who loves us.
For He is our peace, and He has broken down every wall that separates us from the Presence of the LORD.
Casting all of our cares upon Him Who cares for you.
