I’m not getting fed!
This is a common complaint among old western believers, still in spiritual diapers. It is one that is very easily explained. Pastors and teachers are partly to blame for this problem.
Firstly they teach carnal unscriptural practices, designed to finance their agendas, and pay the bills. They teach that you should pay your tithes where you get fed, so it is advantageous to keep people on milk, needing to be fed, and always needing to come back for more.
In other words keep you paying for your meals. This is wrong doctrine. Consider the word fed! Adults eat and babies get fed. If you have been saved 2 yrs or more, and attending a church saying, I’m not getting fed, you are still in a baby stage . You are not supposed to get fed, at your age. You are supposed to be eating meat, but you are still on a bottle.
You cannot be spoken to as a spiritual adult, but as unto carnal baby, even as unto babes in Me. [2] You have had to be fed with milk way past your age, and not with meat: but because you are lazy you are not able to eat meat, and still you are wanting someone to feed you. [3] You are still carnal: because there is envy and strife, and divisions, and you walk as natural men. [4] If you are two years or older and still complaining that your church and pastor is not feeding you, you should be ashamed. If you are saying I belong to this church and My brother goes to one where they do something else, are you not carnal?” 1 Corinthians 3:1-4.
OK, this is going to seem tough, seeing you are dull of hearing. [12] By this time in your walk with Me, you ought to be a teacher, or a pastor, but you are still crying like a baby, saying I’m not getting fed! Now because you have not learned to eat directly from My table, you have need that one teach you all over again, going back to the first principles of the oracles of Christianity; you are still a baby in need of milk, and cannot eat strong meat.
[13] Everyone that stays on milk is unskilful in using and understanding My word of righteousness: because he is still a babe. [14] But strong meat belongs to spiritual adults, because they have learned to walk out and live out the things they learned while on milk, now they don’t need a pastor to feed them, but help the pastor to feed newborns to discern both good and evil,” Hebrews 5:11-14.
Some I eventually call to be pastors themselves, but I call all to be teachers of My word. If you are over two years old and still saying, I’m not getting fed, it’s time to grow up, My child, and feed yourself at My table every day!
