If There is So Much to Talk About Jesus, Why Do We Speak So Little of Him?
We claim to preach The Gospel, but how often does Jesus take center stage?
How often do our messages exalt Him, His cross, His love, and His resurrection?
Instead, we have chosen to major in what is minor: cars, houses, promotions, and earthly wealth.
We stand on pulpits meant to proclaim the good news of Christ, yet we speak so little of Him.
Why? Is it because we think His name isn’t enough to fill our pews?
Or are we afraid that the simplicity of The Gospel won’t compete with the allure of materialism?
This is the shame of our generation: we have substituted the eternal riches of Christ for the fleeting promises of prosperity.
We have turned the message of salvation into a business model, where sermons are carefully crafted to feed greed rather than faith.
And all the while, the world listens and wonders, “Where is this Jesus you claim to serve?”
The tragedy is not just that we have diluted the Gospel but that we have misrepresented Christ Himself.
The Savior who called us to deny ourselves and take up our cross has been reduced to a tool for personal gain.
The Church was meant to be a beacon of hope, pointing people to the Kingdom of God, but instead, it often mirrors the very world it was meant to transform.
Yet, even now, there is hope. There is always hope when we turn back to Jesus — the author and finisher of our Faith.
The one of whom there is so much to say, and yet, we speak so little!
It is time to return to Him.
To preach the fullness of His love, the power of His grace, the glory of His resurrection, and the hope of His coming.
The world doesn’t need more motivational speeches.
It doesn’t need another seminar on success or wealth creation. What it needs is Jesus Christ — and Him crucified!
We, who have been entrusted with this sacred message, must repent of how we’ve disappointed The Gospel.
Let us no longer speak less of the One of whom there is so much to say.
Let us lift Him high once again so that He may draw all men to Himself.
“And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” John 12:32.
