If it Were Not for the LORD!
4 Words in 1
Time for Rejoicing – Not Mourning!
The LORD says… “It is a time for rejoicing and not mourning!”
The LORD says, “It is a time for rejoicing for My people and not a time for mourning, so why is your hope lost and your soul cast down? Is there no God in Israel?
Do not let your hearts nor your spiritual sight fail you in these times. Did I not say that the just shall live by his faith and not by sight? In these times of uncertainty I will take the foolish things of this world to confuse the wise.
I created the end of the world at the beginning so that what looks like it is, is not. And that what looks like is not, is just what I am doing.
I AM in control and I tell you that these will be some of the greatest times for My people, because I have appointed and orchestrated this very time to be gracious and show favor to my people.
I have prepared for you beauty for ashes and the oil of joy for your mourning.
It is not time for despair, but a time for rejoicing and praise. So arise and lift your head and watch as I give you an abundance of blessings and favor in these times.”
“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but the LORD will rise upon you and his glory will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising,” Isaiah 60:1.
“The spirit of the sovereign LORD is upon me, for the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released And prisoners will be freed. He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the LORD’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies. To all who mourn in Israel,he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the LORD has planted for his own glory,” Isaiah 61:1-3.
“You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come,” Psalms 102:13.
“Why art thou cast down, o my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God,” Psalm 42:11.
God is Still God!
How many times has God taken the enemies of his people and turned them against themselves?
You better quiet your soul and trust God, because this is not your battle, for it is the LORD’s.
Our God is the same today, yesterday, and forever. God is still God!
“I AM the LORD, and I do not change,” Malachi 3:6.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever,” Hebrews 13:8.
“He said: “Listen, king Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the LORD says to you: ‘do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but the LORD’s…….
Early in the morning they left for the desert of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have faith in the LORD your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful.” After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the LORD and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying:
“Give thanks to the LORD, for his love endures forever,” as they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated. The Ammonites and Moabites rose up against the men from Mount Seir to destroy and annihilate them. After they finished slaughtering the men from Seir, they helped to destroy one another. When the men of Judah came to the place that overlooks the desert and looked toward the vast army, they saw only dead bodies lying on the ground; no one had escaped. So Jehoshaphat and his men went to carry off their plunder, and they found among them a great amount of equipment and clothing and also articles of value — more than they could take away. There was so much plunder that it took three days to collect it. On the fourth day they assembled in the valley of Berakah, where they praised the LORD. This is why it is called the valley of Berakah to this day,” 2 Chronicles 20:15;20-26.
If It Were Not For The LORD!
So many times, our problems, our enemies, and our situations would destroy us if it were not for the LORD who was on our side.
Our enemies who oppose and oppress us would trap and defeat us, the problems would depress us and the situations would destroy us. But you can boldly declare, “The LORD is for me and I am so glad that the he is on my side…… And I am on his.”
“If the LORD had not been on our side — let Israel say — if the LORD had not been on our side when people attacked us, they would have swallowed us alive when their anger flared against us; the flood would have engulfed us, The torrent would have swept over us, the raging waters would have swept us away. Praise be to the LORD, who has not let us be torn by their teeth. We have escaped like a bird from the fowler’s snare; the snare has been broken, and we have escaped. Our help is in the name of the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth,” Psalms 124:1-8.
“So he stood at the entrance to the camp and shouted, “All of you who are on the LORD’s side, come here and join me.” and all the Levites gathered around him,” Exodus 30:26.
“What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?” Romans 8:31.
Satan’s Bark is Bigger Than His Bite!
Satan’s bark is always bigger than his bite and just to let him know that God’s people are not easily intimidated by his weak and puny tactics.
Some of his tactics are just plain and “Trashy” just like he is. He’s full of trash and mess because he’s always somewhere lurking, plotting, and barking like he’s got you cornered. But those who trust in God are under his protection and he covers them from the plotting, the evil and wicked schemes, and the lies.
The same God that created the heavens and the earth and scooped out the great and unmeasurable oceans with his hands, is that same God that holds his people in those same great big hands; so therefore, there is no reason to be intimidated by the tiny bark of the enemy!
“Who else has held the oceans in his hand? Who has measured off the heavens with his fingers? Who else knows the weight of the earth or has weighed the mountains and hills on a scale? It was my hand that laid the foundations of the earth, my right hand that spread out the heavens above. When I call out the stars, they all appear in order,” Isaiah 40:12-13.
